View Full Version : Getai campaign?

So I recently have hit the year 152BC and fell into a problem with the victory conditions in the Getai campaign. I have all required settlements captured and assumed the blackened areas were for raiding. With the blackened areas after conquering them I chose option 3 wich was enslave population and proceeded to demolish all available buildings and move my army out. I have sacked Pella about 5 times and still nothing will happen. I even leave the city so that the enemy armies can recapture but still nothing ends.

My question is this...
Am I doing the raiding wrong or what am I missing exactly in the darkened areas? I even went as far as to reload the game and just capture the areas under my control but the game will not end.

Any help would be appreciated.

AKAIK the black areas are the starting provinces of the factions you must destroy or outlast.

By the way, welcome on the .org, Gumruaa.

I do not know where you got that from and whether you meant to say something else, but those blackened territories are territories which you must have held for at least a turn, but not necessarily by the end of the campaign, as with the rest of the required territories.

EDIT: In any case, much of the victory requirements for factions are outdated, and to see an accurate list, you need to use the "?" in the faction status window instead of using the provided map. Pressing that "?" will give you an accurate list of settlements you need to conquer.

1) Have you clicked the show-me-how button in the Faction Overview screen? It's the same screen in which you can find the victory conditions. Some are outdated, so it's better to listen to the advisor.

2) If so, and you did take those cities you raided with a family member? This is actually important, since the script looks for certain traits to define whether the victory conditions have been achieved.

I actually sent a very large army to finish off the remaining Macedonian and Greek armies and sacked cities... I never knew you had to keep an army there for 1 full turn. I will try these and see how it goes and again thank you.

To get the victory screen make sure you 1- have activated the script while playing, 2- own all necessary settlements, 3- have ended at least one turn in possession of 'raid' targets, 4- have defeated the necessary 'outlast' factions. If you have accomplished all of these, end turn and the victory screen should come up at that beginning of the next turn.

Also look on the campaign map after clicking that button and zoom out. Every city you need will have a little flashing box thingy around it. Very useful function, especially coz most of those names in the big list of targets mean very little to me.

Heh, I just played as the Getai myself and I think I know what your problem might be. Have you sacked Rome yet? It's not darkened on the map, but if you press the question mark to find your objectives, you'll notice that it's included in the list of raiding targets.

I kand of wish that it was darkened on the map for convenience too.

There are some other raiding targets you have that aren't on the victory conditions map.

If he just touched the Southern and mid-Balkans, then I doubt he got to the Romans yet. And he made no mention of that list of objectives, mentioning only the outdated map, so I suppose that would be one of the settlements he has yet to lay his hands on.
