How does one remove the peasants from DMB without dorking up the game? I made all peasants non-recruitable in EDB, but I want to clean them out of the DMB to free up unit slots there. I'm afraid to do this though because I know many peasants are used for sprites and possibly other files. Has anyone been able to do this successfully? If so what is the proper procedure?

you can remove them fine, just check that no rebel factions use them in
descr_rebel_factions.txt
and change
descr_lbc_db.txt
to use something else (they are what is seen in city view in vanilla, but you can actually put any unit in that instead)
also search for the 'soldier' name you want to remove in EDU and make sure you can either delete those entries or change it to use another soldier, before deleting the soldier type from DMB
basically follow procedure here:
