Will Total War work w/ Nvidia cards?

Hey all. I am thinking of buying Shogun: Total War to play over the summer, but recently I read an article at another gaming site saying that Total War won't work correctly with Nvidia graphics card. So, I'm asking you experienced guys if it will or not. I have A Nvidia TNT2, if that helps http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
