As sometimes even I get bored of work on EB and AtB...here's a little side-project I've been doing...

I'll take requests to take shots of certain areas. I can only locate things via coordinates or if it's already plugged in there. I added a bunch of random Germanic tribes though to represent their historical locations.

Disney Land Resort Paris.

An odd name for a Celtic village.

You're worrying about that? What about the massive chalk symbols in southern Arabia? What do they depict? Who knows...

Didn't MAA had one such thing for EB 1.1 that you could download?

Was it more or less pointless than this? (No offense intended Gamegeek :beam:)

Oh I know it's pointless, but it's fun. It also helps me out with my geography (which is already good...but sometimes I tend to think of things in terms of EB...)

Though I have not been able to update it in a long time, I spent a lot of time trying to get all the cities in that I could from EB1 and posted it as a minipreview (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=51919), a while back.

Last version I did can be downloaded here:

edit: Cool, this was first posted within three months of Google Earth's first release.

Oh now I remember, it was Teleklos not MAA

you're seeing things: I only see the harrah's in the southernmost portions of Arabia (on the map)

@gamegeek: I see you picked the Akkadian pronunciation for modern-day al-madinah; why not the arabic yathribu?

bah, its just technicality :clown:

Would be a little early for arabic no? It think the best option would be to use Minean, but try finding that one!
