Logging In

I use Firefox to access Orgah, but I find it annoying to have to manually log in every time I come here. It works on other Vbull fora, but I can't seem to find a way to do it on this one. Apologies if this is a common problem with the forum, and I'm too blind/stupid/lazy (Please select one) to see the threads related to it.

On the Guild main page, there should be a quick login area, where you normally get that little summary with the last time you logged in, number of pms etc. Well, next to that when you log in is a check box "Remember me" if you tick that, have firefox remember your password and let it store a cookie, it will keep you logged in.

Its kept me logged in for over a year now.

Sounds like the cookie that keeps your login details is deleted. Check the privacy tab of the "internet options" menu and see whether Firefox deletes cookies or clears your personal records when you close the program.

Nope, it's not checked. As I said, it works on many other VBull fora, so I have no idea whether it's an FF or a forum problem.

You could try clearing all your cookies. I remember once one of the cookies in my browser became corrupt. No matter what it would never save anything. Once I cleared everything, it seemed to work again. Clearing cookies can be annoying but you can have Firefox remember all your accounts/passwords in the future. As long as you own the computer (not a university one), it should be fine. Just remember never to save logins for important things like online banking. Just keep those logins in your head.

The 'remember me box' is toggled by default. I had it for a while too that it refused to remember me, no idea what caused that, but it solved after a while.

Maybe you can add totalwar.org to your "save sites" ,accepting ALL cookies in your internet privacy tab?
