What good can be obtained of it? Is it a gaming device? If so, in what limits?
TIA
.
It is a low end gaming device. I have the HD 3650 and it's ok but nothing amazing. In terms of TW games it'll be ok for anything up to RTW. For me it's sufficient because I don't run new games and of the TW games I only play STW/MTW.
The HD 3650 does run M2TW ok on mid to low settings but it would probably not up to running ETW. If you're planning on playing ETW then avoid it. Go for one of the newer high end HD 4xxx series cards.

I'll eventually get a GTX 260. This just happened to come with my new 'puter. Thanks for the insight. I just hope it's a tad better than FX5500 for at least non-reduced gaming performance until bro and I get the budget up for the true thing.
.
It should be much better than a FX5500 yes.

Merely into the first week and first trouble: Browsing the web, including the ORG, certain blue coloured texts appear orangish until I hover or select them. Haven't found any kind of calibration utility in the ATI applet. Anybody knows the solution?
.
Funny, as I said in the other thread I've seen this before but not for some months. I'm not sure how it could be the graphics card causing it though? Have you tried clearing the browser cache first? Also have a look at the colour depth for your desktop. Try changing it around, i.e. from 16 bit to 32 bit and see if that changes anything.

Neither. ~:( I have two Win installations on my old and new disks and in the process of rebuilding my settings and reinstalling my programs I boot from the one or the other. The trouble persists on both systems, the newer of which virtually having browser cache yet. My desktop res is and has always been 32 bit. Thanks for trying anyway.

Actually that makes sense. I had that problem back around the time when I was changing drivers a lot and even reverting to the onboard graphics chip to try and get MTW working. It may be linked to particular driver version - though I can't think why. Very odd.
Glad you got it working.
