Well, they will rebel to sweboz when they decide to revolt, yes? But why in my KH campaign... several Sarmatians popped up when they revolt?

The Samartians may have taken the province (settlement) sometime before you arrived, and upgraded its size. It may have later been taken by another faction (yourself), and when lost it would now rebel to the Samartians again.

Why would it rebel to the Sauromatae? It's founding faction in the regions&settlements file is Sweboz so it will revolt to them or the Eleutheroi.

@cute wolf: did the settlement revolt to the sweboz or sauromatae? or did some Sauromatae units appear nearby?

Yeah but i was under the impression that a city would always revolt to either its founding faction or the Eleutheroi.

As I understand it an Elutheroi settlement revolts to it's "home" culture unless it's govenors residence has been upgraded in which case it will revolt back to Elutheroi or the new culture, so as bean says the Sarmatians may have got there first.

Soory for unclear info, it was rebel to eleutheroi, but some Sauromatae HA shown up in their stacks... It revolt to me (KH), but I take them from Sweboz...

Oooooh, haha. That's just the AI picking random units that can be recruited in those regions providing the right MIC level is there.
