OK, So I am playing romani, I own everything south of the alps + massalia + sicily. I have sacked and abandoned both karthadast and adrumeto, I have 54 family member and get this...25 of them are generals and not the recruited kind, I mean blood relatives. I don't know what the deal is, every turn or so I get a new one. I'm actually kinda worried itll cause a problem. Usually when I am this small I am scraping my FM together, I mean I should only have like 5-7. I have not bribed either. currently all married FM are at maxed out children (4).

Carthage Must Burn!!! :beam:

As for you'r problem it isn't uncommon for you to have that much FM seeing you already control a good number of provinces and you probably accepted all adoption candidates. In my Romani Campaign i have refused every singe adoption candidate so i only have 6 FM 25 years into the game. I want to maintain the blood-line as it is.

Gods of the underworld just love my Carthaginian army
They pray to me when they are hungry
So i send many Roman souls to them, as a gift

Just all your excess FM on a boat and attack any enemy navy. Ensure you get massacred and problem solved.

(not my idea)

If you are "Roman Killers", three of your members should kill their own avatars.

in a serious note tho, you shud simply leave those family members in a city with a good akademia. U'll need them (or their descendants) when those client rulers (that cant bear children) die off.

Though of course, since they're Roman FMs, you should send them to Hades. All those that sire from Barbaropolis should go to visit Hades =]

I just put noobie FM's on a ship and let pirates sink it.

Although not suggesting ship sunking assassination... at least you should only do that to old pervert and corrupt FMs that lies beyond repair. Well, with all the young guy that you have... just equip some of them with good legions, and start bashing the Another lands for fun.... heroic charges (and die from impaled with sarissae are proper way to get romaioi honour!):smash: at least those who survive the carnage will become a great great general

That's true. Why kill them off in a way that wastes ships, when you can just send them off into battle. Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Survival of the fittest sort of thing.

Click assasin, hold ALT and assasinate your FM and that way train your assasin!

And why don't you send someone to my Baktrian campaign? I seriously lack of fresh generals :wall:

Normally I'd suggest sending them into battles at various fronts, but since Romani have the worst bodyguards of all factions (though nice-looking), this is perhaps not the best idea.
What I usually do is train all those buggers in some city with a decent university (and possibly some mines and a large market) and occasionally send them en masse on autoresolved anti-rebel missions against the Eleutheroi mini-armies that pop up in your provinces every few years. Have them accompanied by one or two regular units. Usually your generals won't die in autoresolve against rebels, and as for saving money by playing the battles yourself - well, Romani players become millionaires in next to no time anyway.
After all, if you want to have useful FM bodyguards and big financial problems, go play Swêboz or Sauromatae.

Find me some physical evidence that there was a famous Bactrian general named Gaius Julius Caesar and I will :beam:.

I tried it before, it won't work. Is there any trick for that?

Just tried it and it works on my own diplomats and spies but not FM's, a good exploit to train assasins if you want.
Shame many's the time I've wanted to kill of a corrupt and venal govenor!

Back on topic, don't accept adoptions vet suitors carefully, but as Roman be careful I got to AD14 and I actually struggled with my FM's and seriously lacked suitable candidates for Reformator and Augustus traits. As for lousy, useless offspring well that's life.

death ships mate, always works:yes:
you can execute 20 of them at the same time. :hanged:

Trouble with death ships is as I get further in to the campaign I've usually swept the seas of opponents and Pirates.
I once had to send some useless sods all the way to the Black Sea, and then the silly buggers won the battles! Had to bring them home to run the admiralty:furious3:
