Maybe i missed it but i'm wondering...

You can hire mercenaries almost everywhere but is it possible to hire vessels or better: some pirates willing to help after being paid in gold and some liquids ;)

Probably not with RTW, but it is possible with M2TW. EBII may probably have this feature.
