Persian Empire

Im quite new to EB have only tried out the factions abit no longer campign. But i was wondering about the persian reforms? When they occour those my faction change from ex Pahlava into the Persian Empire (as Arverni,Aedui into Gallic Confederacy) or do i only gain some access to new units and buildings?

I wonder if any faction is able to create the persian empire triggering the reforms or is it just Pahlava? I suspect the Haysadan might be able to but perhaps im wrong.

Create the Persian Empire? You'll find the Persians have already done that one, and they lost it. The other factions, like Pahlava, could 'recreate' the old Persian Empire, but it wouldn't be the same.

And yes, reforms give you new units. :faq:

one of the most rewarding EB campaigns is a complex Hayasdan "Persian Empire" re-creation.

try completing Hai's Pan-Caucasian reforms, they are well worth the effort.

Perhaps i was unclear in my first post. I should say trying to recreate it as the Pahlava and Sassanid tried to. If i manage to finish all expansions to trigger the reforms as the faq mention (which i have read) does the same event happen as it happen when you conquer gaul with one of the gallic factions. That is will some kind of event happen like tata the persian empire arise again or similar.

The other question was if any faction could trigger this reforms or is it bound to one faction only? Then my guess was only Pahlava and Haysadan perhaps or more like whished :yes:

There's no event like that.

The pahlava get the settled aristocracy building which allows new units and buildings and the shahanshah event when they conquer enough of iran but all that does is change the title your faction leader has. The Hayasdan get thier persian reforms which allow them to build type II governments in old Achaemenid lands.

No one else gets these.

Whats this thing about the conquest of gaul event? I've conquered most of western europe as the Arverni and never seen it.

a getaileader is able to become "pavel-ter", if you are able to unite all getai and tracian settlements.

edit: do you mean the gallic reforms? time of tribe, bondsman and soldiers??

Try "Knights of Honor" Roman Mods, its game engine exactly does it. For example as normans if you can capture some specified cities your kingdom names itself as England. But there is no such possibilities in any EA Totar war Engines, I haven't tried ETW, it may have...

"No intentional flaming" but I forgot to say, You can change your Kingdoms names, also other faction names but no idea on stability of EB if we do it.

I guess you read swissbar's AAR. He roleplayed it (he changed the faction name himself), but the gallic confederacy is not a standard function of EB.

thanks mate.
but I will miss RTW modding, many have already started to mod Empire. I do not have it at the moment but it would be great if one make a roman mod for Empire.
