Hello,

I am having difficulties getting EB to work after having uninstalled Rome:TW and all mods some time ago. I reinstalled Rome:TW and patched it to version 1.5, then played the tutorial campaign through. I then re-downloaded EB 1.1 and the 1.2 patch and then installed them. I then attempted to start an EB campaign.

After faction selection I encountered a CTD while the loading screen was up for entering the campaign map. After this I tried again, same result. Then I tried an un modded campaign, and it CTD'd after faction selection as well. I restarted my PC, and tried another un modded campaign, this one worked. Then I tried an EB campaign and had the same CTD occur after faction selection. I went back to regular 1.5 rome and the same thing occurred there as well. I came to the forums looking for help. I did everything on the check list that bovi has posted. I was using nero, removed that, uninstalled R:TW and EB, reinstalled them. Same result. I attempted to use the installation validation tool, but it just gives me a gigantic list of missing files, and a gigantic list of added files. The missing files dont seem to be missing, i checked quite a few out and they are where they were supposed to be. The added files seem to be from BI. I thought that perhaps i installed the EB files into the wrong place, but they are in the R:TW folder right next to the vanilla data folder. I can run a custom battle without a problem in EB.

Whatever the problem seems to be it seems to affect regular rome version 1.5 just as much as EB, but only after I have tried to load up a campaign in EB. I can run a vanilla 1.5 campaign fine after a restart, but EB no way no how.

I figure that I could use some help at this stage. If anyone has run into this problem before and has some insight, I could use it.

PS I am running windows XP 1.75 gig of ram, geforce 6200 with the very latest drivers.

This is your problem, you probably installed in the wrong folder. Please post the full list of the validation here (in a spoiler tag please), and I'll be able to tell you where you went wrong. If it's too long for the forum restrictions, only take the top 200 lines and the bottom 200 lines.
