I use Windows Vista (32) and am trying to download EB onto my new laptop. I followed the instructions to the t, putting RTW under users, all that stuff. I downloaded EB 1.1 and 1.2 to the same folder, but when I try to play it, it just goes straight to vanilla, not even EB. It's like the play option for EB just means to play vanilla.
Help?

Make sure you are installing EB 1.1, 1.2, and patching with the 1.2 fixes (and not simply downloading the install files to the Rome: Total War installation directory. Oh, and a personal recommendation would be to install Rome to the root of your drive (e.g. C:\Rome - Total War) as opposed to users or any other folder. I did that so I wouldn't have to worry about problems due to installation directory.
Check the target for your shortcut, should read something like
"C:\Games\Rome - Total War\RomeTW.exe" -mod:eb -show_err -ne"
