View Full Version : Old "living" pictures composed of thousands of U.S. military personnel
I just saw this (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturepicturegalleries/5940073/Mole-and-Thomas-living-pictures-formed-by-thousands-of-US-soldiers.html) on another website, and was impressed enough that I felt I would be remiss if I didn't share it with the Org as well. I've gotta say, these photographs are simply amazing, especially considering they were done without 21st-century technology. :2thumbsup:

Wow, impressive stuff...
The one of Arthur Mole himself looked the most realistic. :clown:

You're welcome. Was your grandfather in the 11th or the "Big Red One"?
The 24th Infantry Hawaiian Division. I have his division patch sitting next to me :2thumbsup:

My Grandpa's unit patch. It's not the actual one. I got this at the military museum in Honolulu. I saw his actual one which is in good condition and tho a little tattered around the edges.

brilliant pictures, but it left me wondering how many men were left alive in those pictures after their deployment :shame:
