So there I am at my computer, just playin Oblivion. I decide "well, I've done a ton of stuff. I think I'll start a new campaign doing the opppoiste things, and then switch back and forth"
well, i did just that. i chose my stuff, then saved. big mistake. now my 1st Campaign, which had 4 houses, all with full furnishings, i was master of the fighters guild, Madgod's court, Knights of the nine, Grand champion of the arena, the highest you can be in the dark brotherhood, a high-ranking member of the mages guild, owned imperial dragon armor, 2 full suits of imperial armor, full crusader armor, full madness armor, many 1-of-a-kind weapons, many rare and powerful swords and shields, tons of single quests completed, several amazing daedric items (like the skeleton key), and countless enchanted jewels and jewelry.
all destroyed in seconds.
I don't even want to play anymore. unless someone knows a way to recover over-written saves, I might just uninstall it.
the only way i would play it now is if i cheated to get the weapons and money that i remember back, and use some glitch to do the main quest in a couple minutes. and cheated to get my stats back. then i might consider playing again.
anyone else had something like this happen to them in a game? like almost completing a TW campaign that has you on the edge of your desk-chair when you suddenly delete it?
