Crash in Throne Room

I remember posting about this problem/bug before, though I don’t remember getting an adequate answer. Even though I had installed the game on full-install and as far as I can tell all of the sound files are on my hard drive (I can listen to them from my Shogun folder) the game for whatever reason does not play them and even occasionally crashes from the throne room screen when it had to play a certain sound file. What’s the deal here? Can I fix this?

Shogun requires that you have the up-to-date version of MS Media Player. I have the problem with sound too (but no crash). I had installed/reinstalled the latest version of MPlayer for several times and it's the only media solfware that I have intalled, but still can't fix the problem. Now, I am so used to play Shugun without sound/movie clips.
