EB became buggy

So after my recent re-installing of EB, ive noticed a dramatic increase in ctd's. I have the 1.2 fixes and ive never experienced anything like this. Often it crashes when im at the screen where I pick out a faction to play with. (as soon as I pick a faction, it crashes)

Before this, Eb ran very smoothly for me, without many ctd's at all. Im wondering what might have changed this.

I don't know about the pre-campaign ctd, but about other ctd's: maybe some preference settings? I noticed recently switching unit shaders on gave me far more after-battle-ctd.

Perhaps you've installed a program lately (like Nero)? Or a new video driver? There may be something in the Windows Event Log saying what has happened, take a look.

Well I did a clean install of Eb again, installing the 1.2 bug fixes as well and things improved dramastically. (i had the 1.2 fixes for my last install too)

I think what made it buggy was the fact that I installed the new quotes for eb 1 and must have done something wrong. It might have been every time a faction was fixed and a battle was loading up, the new qoute wasn't recognized and it ctded. Is that possible?

Vasiliyi, I was wondering, you mentioned that you sometimes had crashes before picking a faction at the screen, Did you also suffer from after-battle or before battle crashes as well?I am thinking the quotes could be an issue and a clean reinstallation might help...Cos my game crashes on even the video settings adjusted for speedy performance. I am running EB1.2 with fixes on 32bit, Vista 3Gb RAM,2.4GHz...So I cant for the life of me understand this nonsense CTDs...My Romani and Ptolemy campaigns both crash again and again its driving me to tears!:wall:

Re installing EB did fix the probelms for me
