If u have had problems in the past logging on, that may have been to the servers being down, I know the server for the original shogun was down for a while. Its now working again which means both servers are working fine.
So use them http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

What problem do u have?
Make sure u have registered fine.
If it says logging on without doing anything, just go out and keep trying, usually by the third time i get in.

I have both the original shogun and ME installed, and I can play both of them fine....
Well, i think its a joke to have 2 seperate servers. As i understand it, u can change the internet.cfg file so that people with the original game can log onto the ME server. But u can only see shogun games. U just have to change the port number.
As the community is so small, it seems daft to devide it in 2.
Well, you can try it yourself. Go into the shogun directory, and find the internet.cfg file. Open it with notepad.
The shogun server is on port 8793.
The ME server is on port 8794.
So, just change it for the 1 u want.
But, the problem is u need a valid CD key for the server u are joining.
i.e 1 key for shogun server, 1 key for the ME server.
so many problems http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
People with ME should have the option of hosting original shogun games too......
But, none of this will ever happen.....

Yes Sora ME = MI http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I've just been on the MI server and had some good games, some 2v2's and 1v1's. I think 12 peeps at one point (I know - WOWWWWWWWWWW) http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRG i just downloaded patch 1.12 for stw then to my horror i loaded it up and weird things hapned like mongol units disguised as nodachi on the unit selection screen, truly odd. I decided to load up MI and then it wouldnt load it says please insert corect disc so now i have to go through the process of uninstalling everything and reinstalling it all, unless theres a way of uninstalling patch 1.12?

I would try re-installing the MI patch. If that doesn't work then yes uninstall and re-install the game.
Incidentally, if you want to play STW, MI and MTW you must have the games installed seperately, even though MI is an "add-on". If you do full install everytime, you have a few GB lost.

Hmmmm i still cant play STW when MI is installed, it keeps saying cannot detect disk when the stw disk is in there, and when i uninstall MI, stw works.
Whats is this damn problem?

Sora make sure you have STW installed twice.
When you install MI it overwrites the version of STW you add it on to - meaning you can no longer play STW with that version. You must then install STW again to a different folder if you want to play STW. Make sure you patch the right versions too And also, you will need to put all the maps in both versions of the game.
Literally, treat the two as seperate games; STW and MI.
