Does anybody has some experience with Mini-Mods which can be combined with EB?

I'm looking especially for Mini-Mods which can improve the battle and diplomancy AI. I'm really fed up with this f...... studip AI! :help:

I use "force diplomacy", but I think it's very unsatisfyng to do the diplomancy for your faction AND for the enemy.

Thanks for your help!

Mini mods for EB are, well, for EB. And thus can only be combined with EB...

So what exactly are you asking for?

In what way is force diplomacy unsatisfactory? It forces your diplomatic proposals... And that's it.

Force diplomacy is pretty good (I'm using it for years), but a smarter AI would be much better.

I'm wondering I've there is a way to make the computer a little bit ... smarter. :idea2:

Nope, AI is hard coded. Only CA can make the AI smarter.

Unless it is the various formation mods...

And also, of course, try running EB on alex.exe, as I have.

Oh. I didn't knew that. That's a pity.

But are there any more changes like Force-Diplomacy, which can improve the gameplay?

Edit:
I searched for the formation mods, that looks pretty helpful. Thanks.

my favorite one is sihunet's mod.
best of all (for me of course) it makes wonders on alex.

A formation mod as mentioned above coupled with Alex.exe is the best you're going to get. Alex.exe really does make the AI much more effective, though still not all that smart by any means, but it does a let less dumb things than the RTW.exe version does, and re-training it's troops can provide a lot of extra challenge as well. It's worth hunting down and buying RTW Alex just to use it IMO, really does make a difference.

no miracles but if you compare it RTW it makes wonders

Yeah, use alx.exe firstly, and also try the Victory Conditions minimod (makes the AI expand more realistically). I'd recommend the command stars & cursus honorum mod, the extended offices mod and the getting rid of the huge trees one.
These don't necessarily improve AI, but whilst you're modding EB you mayaswell try a few different ones too.
The city mod, phalanx mod and rs textures mod are good as well :)

I'd hardly say that EB is just another mini-mod. :laugh4:

City mod is good in that only certain cities can reach huge Rome, Carthage, Antioch etc slowa AI expansion though it does favour the "civilised factions" that historically had such urban centres.

Allied legions is good for Roman players.

AI formations helps.

In fact try Lz3's minimod group it contains most of the best and popular is very easy to install, and has an option for alex.exe. I played Rome all the way to AD14 and it was very, very stable.
