In EBII, will the "Council of Nobles" missions be used, to get back those good 'ol retrieve Alexander's corpse missions?
It won't need a new faction slot, unlike the papal missions. Or is this hardcoded?

I believe the council missions are somewhat random and can only have specific types turn on or off, not directly control. I haven't looked at them in M2TW, and have no knowledge more than a couple posts I read about them, so I'm not sure on this.
Playing Rusischi TW, it seems to me that one can script rather specific missions, and not use any of the random stuff. It works very well there. It would not be very different to a mission created entirely in the script, except you then have a place where you can show the player the missions he could undertake. You know, if you should save and reload and forget just where you are supposed to send your troops.

Missions can't be given to the AI can it? 'Cause in that case they could be used to make the AI behave a little more historically correct (like the Romans actually bothering to attempt to take Siclily, instead of going berserk in Gaul).

Can we have Timeline Specific Missions that encourages players to expand more realistically and guide newer plays on how to take over their victory cities?
For example, Rome -> Southern Italy -> Sicily -> Illyria, Hispania, Po -> Makedonia -> Asia -> N.Africa -> Asia, Gaul -> Egypt.
Or something....
KH would be -> Liberate Corinth -> Invade Thes. -> Pella -> Unite the Asian and Italian Colonies ...etc

Ahh, that would be nice, and does the AI use those missions, then you could have a nice AI that doesn't go for Siberia always.
Maybe this will be a cure for Hayasdan's Steppitis.
On the other hand, it's not desirable to railroad the expansion patterns too much. Historically, Rome attacked Sicily before cisalpine Gaul, however this may not have happened if Carthage had secured Sicily earlier.

Well, no one has to follow those missions, its just for the new guys and the people how want to play historically sometimes. I mean, you already have the 1st Punic War trigger.

True, but I was mostly replying to those who suggested it could be used to guide A.I. expansion.
