View Full Version : adding building to factions that dont have 'em

So I was wondering how I could add highways for some of the factions to represent the sophistication of the civilization. Im sure its all gruntwork, and just a bunch of copy and pasting, as people have said before, but I was wondering if someone could help me out. I want to add the highway "roads" to the Arche Seleuikiea.

So is it as easy as just adding the faction to the EDB?
I added AS to the line where the factions are listed.
EDIT: ok so it does work, but i took a screenshot of what the highways looks like. I guess there is another file im going to need to mod before everything is correct.
Although, im wondering if i dont have to.

No, you don't have to if you don't mind those default placeholder UI cards and descriptions. I take it you know how to fix them should you want to ?

Actually i dont. Im just making sure here, it wont affect my gameplay at all if I dont change the old pictures out at all?

I mostly make my changes back during campaign after I built the building to protect against errors or CTDs. Though I mostly do it with stonewalls that nomadism disables building them.
Sorry to bump this old thread but I also wanted to give highways to AS and found this trough the search option :idea2:
Anyway, I made the same changes (add romans_julii, to the EDB) but when I start the game with the EB trivialscript I just get a CTD even before I get to the menu :dizzy2:
I"m sure the CTD is caused by the changes I made cuz when I put the old EDB back the game works perfect.
Any ideas on how to get this to work? Thanks!
