Ganondorf hails from the Dimension 003, known to its residents as Hyrule. He is a being of great and terrible strength, having control over the Triforce of Power, one of the three principle legendary items of the dimension. His power level is comparable to that of other Class S villains, such as Bowser. Ganondorf has used his dark powers time and again to conquer Hyrule, thrusting it into darkness and shadow. Each time he has threatened the world, however, an incarnation of the legendary hero, Link, also a founding member of the IFH, has appeared to seal him away using the Triforce of Courage, the Master Sword, and a wide variety of tools. In all previous cases, Link has succeeded in sealing the self-proclaimed King of All Evil away.

Ganondorf was last seen in the company of the rest of the Council of Villains in Dimension 002 Chaotix, where he obtained even greater power thanks to the Super Vague Weapon of Ambiguously Decided Doom. He then returned to his own dimension, presumably to wreak havoc once again. His first actions were reportedly to have created a Seal of Time.

Since then, Hyrule has gone dark. No feedback is being received by any of the interdimensional communicators in Hyrule. Class S Hero Link has been dispatched to Hyrule alone, in order to investigate, but has not been heard from since. Additionally, no Class A or B heroes can be sent in support, because portal connection to Dimension 003 has been severed from all other dimensions. Link has been classified MIA, and new methods of reaching Hyrule are being researched at present.

The Missing Link


A Small Mafia Game set in the “Council of Villains” Universe.

Since Council of Villains was a success, in my opinion, and it leaves several stories to be told, for all of the villains who gained great power and returned to their dimensions, I’ve decided to dedicate at least a few of my future games to this particular story concept.

This one, as you may have gathered, focuses on the Zelda universe in particular. It’s a small game because there aren’t many main recurring characters outside of Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda herself. However, I hope it will be just as epic as the last game.

As a general warning, there will most likely be spoilers from any and all of the Zelda series within role PMs, write-ups, etc. If you’re interested in Zelda but haven’t played some games or don’t want the endings spoiled, you may want to steer clear of this game.

I’m looking for 10 sign-ups, but I may be able to extend it to 13 if I get a lot of interest in it.

Link readied his sacred blade, the Master Sword, as he prepared once again to fight the King of All Evil (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oThLc4cJC4M). No matter how much pleading or demanding his fairy companion did, Ganondorf was not going to release the Princess Zelda without a fight.

“Not any longer! The powers I have gained allow me to achieve the impossible with the flick of a finger. You are nothing but insects to be squashed now. You no longer pose a threat to me.”

Link let loose a Light Arrow from his bow, aimed straight for Ganondorf’s face. The evil king, however, with a single backhand motion, easily knocked the Light Arrow harmlessly away.

“Well, I can’t have you constantly trying to stop me…”

Ganondorf vanished, only to reappear directly in front of Link. Grabbing him by the throat, he lifted the green-clad warrior off the ground with one hand. With the other hand, he wrenched the bow out of his grip and proceeded to snap it in half. He then threw Link, who flew twenty feet into the wall. He collapsed onto the ground in a heap, as his fairy buzzed around him, worrying and chattering.

“But no matter how many times you die, I can never seem to get rid of you for good… even if I destroy your bloodline, the Triforce of Courage always finds its way to a new hero, in a new point in time…”

At that moment, a thought found its way to Ganondorf’s oft-unused brain. A diabolical, evil thought.

“Time! That’s it! I know exactly how to destroy you now, legendary hero. To rid myself of you… I need only rid myself of time!”

Power and dark energy welled itself up in the palms of Ganondorf’s outstretched, olive-green hands. Link, struggling to move, was held in place by an unseen magical force. After a minute or two, Ganondorf decided he had enough energy to complete the task.

“Finally… it is done! I now create… a Seal of Time!”

A flash of light blinded Link, blocking Ganondorf from his view. A magical surge passed through his body, and he slowly felt himself losing consciousness…

Link awoke to find himself in Hyrule Field. From his calculation, he was at least a week away from the castle, without a horse to speed him up. But as the grogginess faded from his mind, he noticed something… odd.

Actually, several things were odd (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRChp-dwQCQ). First, the grass he stood on was gray, not green. So were the trees, and the river, and even the sky. Link’s whole world had become shades of gray, but his tunic was still as green as the forests used to be.

Second, standing all around him was… himself. Or at least, they all looked sort of like himself. Each had a certain quality that differentiated him from the rest…

“GYAAAAAAAAAAAH!”

That was his voice, but it hadn’t come from him! All of the Links turned and rushed in the direction that the voice came from. Soon, they reached the source of the voice. Another Link was lying face-down on the ground. Each of the Links stared in disbelief as the body on the floor slowly disintegrated into nothingness.

“Hey! Listen!”

The Links turned (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehs4DtEOZQM) to face a small, glowing blue ball with a pair of wings. Link thought it certainly looked like his fairy, but he knew it wasn’t.

“My name is Navi. I don’t know why all of you are here… but it looks like when Ganondorf placed a seal on time, he split you up into different parts… or maybe, he brought all of the incarnations of the same hero, from different places in time, all into one place, because time doesn’t exist anymore…”

All of the Links looked at each other, confused. They were all the same person from different parts of time?

“Whatever happened, I know Ganondorf is plotting something evil by doing this. Maybe he plans to get rid of all of you… then you wouldn’t exist anywhere in time at all! And I fear that one of you among us is an impostor… otherwise, how else could that poor Link have died?”

At this point the Links created a commotion. Some drew their swords, while others yelled indiscriminately, for lack of proper speech skills. At least one Link’s eyes glinted red, but only for a second, and nobody noticed it.

“Hey! Listen! No! Stop it!”

All of the Links once again turned attentively to Navi.

“Here’s what we’ll do. All of you will vote on who you think is the impostor, and we’ll… kill that one. If that doesn’t work, we’ll try again the next day. As long as at least one of you survives, you should be able to reincarnate yourself again… so don’t worry about dying.”

All of the Links seemed to nod in agreement. They all began discussing, in their syllabically-challenged voices, who seemed the most suspicious out of themselves.

The discussion between the Links had gone on for a few hours now, and it seemed to be nearing night time, as the gray sky started to turn darker and darker gray, and the lighter gray sun had moved all the way to the west, and was starting to set. Navi had heard just about enough of the unintelligible babble coming from 13 different Links at once. One screaming Link was quite enough for her, and she wasn’t going to listen any more. So she tried to get the Links’ attention.

“Hey! Listen!”

All of the Links grumbled to themselves, for Navi had already become an annoyance. Nevertheless, they turned their gaze to her.

“Why don’t we all make a decision on who we’re going to get rid of, now? Let one Link at a time make his choice.”

One Link piped up immediately.

“Well, I think that we should lynch-”

“Wait, what gives!? How are you speaking like that!? If you’re really Link, you shouldn’t be able to speak besides using grunts, yells, and occasional one-word sentences!”

The other Links, agreeing with Navi, proceeded to draw their swords (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UDGmQ7VCoQ), encircling the speech-blessed Link and grunting, yelling, and saying one-word sentences at him.

“Well, EXCUUUUUSE ME! I was just trying to help out. I wasn’t aware speaking was a crime, guys!”

“Well, let’s see… I went and defeated the Faces of Evil! And there was this one time that Ganon captured me, and Zelda had to save me with the Wand of Gamelon…”

If Navi had hands, she would have at this point performed a facepalm. She proceeded to break the fourth wall in continuing to prosecute the speaking Link.

“You’re kidding me. You’re the CD-i Link? Those games were so terrible, they’re not even considered Zelda games anymore. You shouldn’t even be here!”

“Well, EXCUUUUS-”

“Shut up. You there, go get the Bombs.”

One of the Links rushed off to find his Bomb Bag.

“Ooooh! Are we going to BOMB some Dodongos?”

“No, we’re going to bomb you.”

“Oh. Well, in that case, I guess I’d better get out of here. Good thing I brought the Wand of Gamelon!”

The not-really-Link pulled out his badly-drawn Wand of Gamelon, and with a puff of smoke, he disappeared into thin air. The puff of smoke grew, arranging itself to form several words in the air:

Night 1

It was dark outside, something generally characteristic of the night. But somehow, because of the grayness, it seemed even darker to the Green Link. More unnerving than the darkness, however, was the whitish-gray fire that he and the other three of the Four Swords had created, which provided the Green Link’s only source of light. A thick layer of gray clouds blotted out the silvery moon and stars, neither of which, thankfully, seemed to be falling towards the ground. He had sworn several times that he heard something moving in the shadows around him, but had to convince himself that he, the other Links, and Navi were the only living things in this realm. Them, and the impostor, that is. But the impostor would be visible, too, because of his bright green tunic…

For once in his life, Green Link felt lonely. He did not normally enjoy the company of the others- Red Link was a hothead, and Purple Link was pretty annoying, while Blue Link was usually just silent and unfriendly. But now they had left him- and who knows where they had gone; one minute they were right near him, and the next, they had all left, leaving him behind. And now Green Link found himself missing them. And soon, he would be missing their swords, too.

A pair of red eyes glinted from the shadowy darkness, staring at Green Link’s back, seated near the grayish fire. Closer and closer they drew, but not close enough so that the rest of the face was seen. In fact, even when the rest of the creature’s body should have been visible, all that could be seen was a pair of red eyes in the seemingly moving darkness. Then, suddenly, the red eyes and the darkness lunged (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkIgaKMVpI4).

Green Link was caught off-guard, but still managed to block with his shield in time. He couldn’t see what he was fighting in the darkness around him, but he could rely on his reflexes to defend him. A fierce contest raged between the two forces, with Green Link swinging blindly at the red eyes, and moving his shield just quickly enough to block its attacks. Green Link soon had an idea that would be sure to work on the dark creature.

“HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!”

Green Link spun his sword in a lightning-quick Spin Attack, feeling his blade connect with his enemy. At the same time, however, everything went dark. Green Link’s Spin Attack had created a gust of wind strong enough to blow out the fire next to him. All Green Link could see was a pair of red eyes, and those quickly moved out of view, too.

Green Link, panicked, began swinging his sword wildly in all directions, but he soon felt a sharp pain in his midsection. He looked down to see a sword, seemingly made of the darkness itself protruding from his stomach. His eyes grew dim, although he didn’t notice because he couldn’t see anything, anyway. The dark warrior left, laughing to himself in a deep voice, as Green Link disappeared from existence.

Day 2

At the end of the day, the various incarnations of Link had finally decided on who they thought the impostor was. The accused Link looked sort of like the Green Link who had been killed the last night, but there was something odd about his hat. And one didn’t mess with Link’s hat lightly, of course. Therefore, the Links had reasoned, he must be guilty. Navi, being the only one who could speak, began the prosecution.

“Well? You’ve been accused of being an impostor. What do you have to say for yourself, huh?”

Hopefully nothing, Navi thought. The last thing we need is another talking Link; we’ve already been down THAT road…

“He’ll say nothing! Don’t tell them anything, Link! You don’t have to say anything to them, you have a right to remain silent!”

“Wait, what? Did you just talk? And refer to yourself in the third person, too?”

The accused Link looked afraid, and quickly shook his head as if to say “no”.

“Well then, who did, smart guy?”

“Hah! Are you calling this one smart? There’s nothing in his head but air, he’s so dumb! I should know, I’m sitting on it. Well, that and I practically had to guide him through every single dungeon! Ha ha ha!”

It took Navi a moment, but she finally figured it out. It wasn’t the Link that was talking, but his hat! That’s what was so odd about it… it was alive! The hat hopped off of the Link’s head and into his hands.

“Why, I am Ezlo, a famous magician. I’m surprised you’ve never heard of me.”

“That’s it! You’re being quite insulting, little fairy. I think we need to teach you a lesson. Come on, Link!”

The hat that called itself Ezlo hopped back onto Link’s head, and Link struck a fighting stance (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hIS8S1trjk). As soon as he did this, however the other Links surrounded him and drew their swords.

As the 10 other Links closed in for the kill, Ezlo began to notice that this probably wasn’t a battle he was going to win.

“Hey, Link! Let’s even up the score. Use the Four Sword!”

Link raised his sword, and there was a flash. When the other Links could see, there was not one, but four identical Links standing in the center of the circle. The four Links began slashing outward, their moves all perfectly synchronized, as if three of them were following the lead of the last.

They managed to catch the assaulting Links off-guard, but after a few moments one managed to score a hit on one of the encircled Links. As soon as he was struck, he vanished, almost as if it was an illusion all along. The rest of the Links got the idea, and lunged carelessly, knowing any hit they scored would destroy the copies. The two other copy-Links were easily destroyed, leaving behind only the real one with Ezlo.

“Uh-oh. Looks like our time is up, kid.”

A sword through his chest, the Minish Cap Link fell to the ground. He slowly faded into nothingness, along with his hat.

“Well, I hope that was the impostor… otherwise, we’ve got another long night ahead of us.”

As the gray sun set, the Links dispersed to find themselves a spot to camp out for the night.

Night 2

As the gray sun set, it brought a gray darkness to the world around the Links. Tonight, however, there were no gray clouds, and so the Moon and stars shone with a silvery glow, providing at least some light for them. Still, none of the Links managed to notice the dark figure that slowly inched its way out of the deep black woods, and then sprinted across the fields to its desired target.

When the dark creature arrived at its target, it found… a small complication. But nothing that it couldn’t get around. The target Link was accompanied by another, different Link.

They were both about the same height and age, but one seemed intensely serious, while the other was comical and cheerful. An unlikely match, but the dark figure couldn’t complain… after all, it would be killing two birds with one stone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hUkiQiX4UI). It began to figure out its plan of attack in the darkness.

So long as it stayed low in the tall grass, the dark creature reasoned, it would not be seen by the weak Hylian eyes of these two would-be heroes. It soon realized this reasoning was incorrect when two Light Arrows shot through the air around it, each missing by scarcely an inch. Its own red eyes had betrayed it, not the Links’. The two Links began yelling, grunting, and shouting one-word phrases for help, as well.

The dark figure, its position compromised, decided to charge straight towards his target, finish him, and leave before it could feel the sting of those Light Arrows. As soon as it lunged towards the two Links, the comical one jumped in front of the other, pulling out a Mirror Shield to defend him with. For some reason, this amused the dark warrior.

“Oh, did you think HE was the one I wanted to kill? How sorely mistaken you are… heh heh heh!”

With a single, fluid motion of his dark blade, the warrior knocked the Mirror Shield out of the comical Link’s hand, and stabbed him through the chest. As it retracted the blade, it could practically feel the Link’s Hearts draining from their Containers.

The other, serious Link, clearly furious, slashed twice at the dark warrior with his razor-sharp sword. He managed to knock the warrior off-guard, and pulled out a strange mask from his tunic.

The dark figure stepped back from the mask, seemingly in fear. Before the serious Link could put it on, he had already vanished into the shadows. This Link now turned his attention to his dying companion on the ground. He searched frantically, but all of his Bottles were empty- he had no Red Potion or Fairies to revive him with. The Wind Waker Link slowly disintegrated, as had the last two Links. When the day came, there would be only nine to vote.

Tonight, you decide to use the Boomerang to “borrow” Reenk Roink’s special item.

When you find him, you keep yourself hidden and at a distance. From where you are, it looks like Reenk’s hair is definitely longer than yours. You wait until Reenk’s back is safely turned, and then you throw the Boomerang.

However, all you manage to do is hit Reenk in the head with it. For a moment, he stands there, stunned and dazed, but he soon recovers and sees you. As the Boomerang returns to you, you sprint away from the angry, chasing Reenk, until eventually he loses your trail.

Special Item: Megaton Hammer

You found this powerful weapon in the Fire Temple, and used it to defeat Ganondorf’s pet dragon, Volvagia. It’s very heavy, but also packs a very big punch, and it was a suitable substitute to fight Ganon with, after he disarmed you and knocked the Master Sword far out of your hands. During the night, you may use the Megaton Hammer to hit another incarnation of yourself over the head, knocking him out and preventing him from doing anything that night. However, this will also make them completely defenseless- if you didn’t hit the impostor, he will have an easy time if he decides to kill that Link.
Split is highly suspicious....:inquisitive: He and YLC are drop dead suspicious...I suggest YLC gets blocked tonight....(I am in contact with the blocker...I decided to leave the hammer in his hands:beam:)

Several things. This is Yaropolk's first serious post in some time this game and he puts a weighty accusation on me, based on the fact that my item was not stolen by WE's boomerang. OK?

From what I gather, you seem to be so entrenched in your pro town network, that you are open to no possibility that it is probably infiltrated (the failed block being a clear sign).

I agree with WE's. Something is not right with split's role PM. Compare it to the ones me, YLC, and WE have posted. One it is full of swearing daisy's and the background info seems made up compared to ours. Also, WE claims that something is missing, which I take only to mean that when WE stole an item, he got to know what it was? Care to explain WE.

Then there is this whole business of lynching Atpg (who himself wants to be lynched). We've seen a joker victory already, and yet Yaro is so certain about Atpg's innocence (presumably because of his certainty in trust in split).

Here's what I suggest happens. If Yaro is right and I am the killer, then fine. I'm exposed with 9 people left. Go ahead and have split "investigate" me tonight, and YLC can even use his mask to kill me if he wants (although according to his PM, if he uses it on an innocent Link the ability goes away so he can't use it after killing me).

However, what I would suggest is definitely taking a look at this network, especially by the people in it. Do you really believe that all is well in their, given the happenings? Yaropolk jumping out now of all times is odd.

As for me, my vote stays on split. By far the weirdest role PM we've seen yet, is seemingly manipulating the pro town network at will.

Tonight, I will simply not tell anyone what I am going to bomb or who. By the way, my night 1 action (doing nothing) has already been given in the thread Yaropolk. Care to tell us what you've been up to?

That entire list is based on assumptions of split's innocence as well as Yaropolk's. There is so much they still have to explain though (the voting, the failed blocks both rounds).

As for night 2, nobody saw what RR did after the failed block.

Splits innocence is presumed based on the fact that his actions were witnessed both nights, and the descriptions he provided matched with details witnesses saw. E.G. Atpg has pink hair.

Day 3

At the end of the day, the Links had once again reached a conclusion on who they thought the impostor was. This time, they had chosen one of the younger Links- one who had hair that was decidedly thick (and not long).

Navi approached the unlucky Link and began to lay out the accusations. This Link was visibly trembling at the thought of being killed… by himself.

“Alright, you. Today, we think you’re the impostor, and here’s why: last night, one of the other Links attempted to steal your Bombs with his Boomerang, but found that instead he only hit you over the head with it, and didn’t find any Bombs. And… somehow, this makes you guilty.”

The look of despair on the soon-to-be-killed Link’s face became more desperate as the other Links began to encircle him, drawing their swords. Eventually, the puppy-eyes became too strong for Navi to bear, and she called off the attack.

“Hey! Wait! Listen!”

All of the other Links grumbled, but nonetheless stopped what they were doing and look at Navi, annoyed.

“Look, pretty much the whole accusation on this poor kid is that he doesn’t have Bombs like he claimed. Why don’t we… make him prove that he has Bombs? Then we’ll know if he’s really the impostor.”

One of the Links walked up to the condemned Link, and snatched his small Bomb Bag. He pulled open the drawstring, and turned the bag upside-down. However, nothing fell out of the bag; not Bombs or anything else. It was empty.

“Heh heh heh. I think you’re mistaken on who’s going to be killing who, little fairy.”

Navi and the Links looked around, confused. The deep, evil voice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiDdw3imhAo) had come from the little, thick-and-not-long-haired Link, who had managed to sneak his way out of the circle while they were emptying the Bomb Bag. Before their eyes, the Oracle of Ages/Seasons Link transformed into something much larger, and with glowing red eyes.

An older, stronger Link stepped forward to challenge Dark Link. Looking at this Link and the impostor, they cast almost mirror-images of each other. From the looks on their faces, they had already fought before.

“Heh heh heh… you won’t be able to defeat me again, Link. Master Ganondorf has endowed me with much greater powers, now that he is all-powerful himself.”

And with that, Dark Link lunged towards his doppelganger, slashing with his dark blade. But Link was ready for him. He used his special Z-Targeting maneuvers to perform a back-flip, dodging the blow. Link quickly struck back with a stabbing strike, only to see Dark Link replicate his back-flip perfectly. When Link followed up with a Jump Slash, Dark Link merely sidestepped out of the way. It seemed that both fighters were experts in Z-Targeting combat.

The two Links now began to circle each other, much like feral cats, waiting for an opening to strike. Each time one attacked, the other would block with his shield, and the counter-attack would be sidestepped or back-flipped. Finally, Link managed to score a blow, a shallow cut across Dark Link’s chest. Shadowy fumes began trickling out of the wound.

“Hmph… this is getting me nowhere… time to step it up!”

Dark Link guarded himself with his shield, and held his sword behind him. Dark energy began to empower the blade, until it glowed with an unholy light. Without warning, Dark Link unleashed a vicious Spin Attack. Although Link managed to guard himself from the full force of the attack, when his shield connected with the dark blade, it shattered.

“Heh… now you’re done for!”

With a single swipe Dark Link knocked the Master Sword out of Link’s hands as well. Link reached for his backup weapon, the Megaton Hammer, but quickly realized he was no longer in possession of it. He received a sharp kick to the chest, and landed on his back.

Dark Link stood over the defeated Link, readying his sword for the finishing blow.

“Hahahahahahaaa! Finally… I will have my revenge!”

Link felt a searing pain through his chest. He felt the energy draining from his body… in the form of shadowy fumes. It was not the Link on the floor who had been dealt the finishing blow, but Dark Link. Behind him stood the young, serious Link, his Razor Sword protruding from the dark warrior’s chest.

As Dark Link faded into nothingness, the young Link helped up his older counterpart. The two bore a striking resemblance, even among the group of other Links.

“Well… it seems like we got the impostor… and we’re almost at Hyrule Castle, where Ganondorf is sure to be. I expected you guys to merge once again after the impostor was killed, though. Well, whatever. Let’s camp out for the night, and head towards the castle again tomorrow.”

I want to know who blocked AVSM. All actions were accounted for until this surprise. So either someone's lying about their actions last night or AVSM wasnt blocked. Don't kill anyone please. We have enough investigators and blockers so we can probably figure this out without guess killing.

Night 3

Tonight, Hyrule Field was covered in a blanket of silence. Since the Time Seal had been created the field had always been unusually quiet anyway, but tonight there were no commotions of any sort, and the Links found the silence quiet eerie.

Only once was there a stirring, but it was only the sound of a dog- or perhaps a wolf- barking and growling.

When the sun finally rose again, Navi and the Links found that nobody had been attacked and killed during the night. Still, it appeared that some would have accusations to make, and so the talk of lynch continued.

Begin Day 4

Last night I investigated him, I saw a "red glint" in his eyes, and he did not have the blood of the true hero, which is what seperates him from anyone else I've investigated.

You could imagine myself, yaropolk, and ATPG are all mafia and in league with each other, but I highly doubt anyone would suspect 4 mafia people in a game.

If no one else, I'd like you to believe me.

Tonight, you decide to investigate AVSM.

Before you can transform into a wolf, two Links, one clad in red and the other in purple, approach you. They are small, and weak-looking, but it appears they want to protect you, and you accept their offer. Not wasting another moment, you pull out the Dark Crystal and transform, sprinting off and leaving the two Links trailing behind.

When you find AVSM, he is sleeping, and he looks very much like the other two Links, except his tunic is blue. It’s safe to assume he’s probably another member of the group. Together, those three would probably be able to protect, block, or even kill another Link, but alone they’re not much use at anything.

When you start to smell AVSM, however, you notice that something is up. He definitely doesn’t have the hero’s scent on him… rather, you smell evil pervading through his clothing. Realizing this cannot be a true Link, you start barking and growling at him. AVSM wakes up now, and jumps back. You notice, for a brief moment, a red glint in his eyes. But by now the red and purple Links have arrived, and they try their hardest to stop you from harming AVSM. Realizing you cannot hope to take on all three of them and win, you break free of their hold and flee.

Tonight, you are minding your own business, as usual, because you’ve already defeated Dark Link, of course. There should be no one that you need your Fierce Deity’s Mask for.

However, it appears some of these Links need to be taught a lesson. One of them apparently thought it was funny to hit you over the head with something heavy, because one moment you were sitting by your fire in the gray darkness, and the next you were waking up in the morning with a nasty bump on your head.

Tonight, you decide to use the Boomerang in order to “borrow” atheotes’ special item.

When you find atheotes, he’s all pixilated, like he’s from an old video game or something. What’s more, you see him pull out your Megaton Hammer and use it to hit another Link- the Link that saved you from Dark Link, in fact- over the head. Feeling angered and vengeful, you throw the Boomerang, managing to nail atheotes over the head with it. While he’s all dazed from the blow, you run up to him and snatch your Megaton Hammer back. Then you kick him in his pixilated shins for good measure, and run away.

You are now in possession of the Megaton Hammer again.

Day 4

At the beginning of the day, Navi had suggested that, since Dark Link had been defeated, they should move quickly to Hyrule Temple, so that they could break the Seal of Time. However, she was halted, as one Link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V-zLNSAkwI) had a further accusation to make.

This Link was known as the Twilight Princess Link. He was older and physically stronger than most of the other Links. His most unique quality, however, was that he could transform into a wolf.

Through Navi, Twilight Princess Link explained that he had been using his wolf abilities to investigate the other Links during the night time. So far, he had smelled the blood of the hero on every one of them, but he made an astonishing find the last night…

Twilight Princess Link accused the Blue Four Swords Link of being another impostor!

Naturally, Blue Link’s two remaining allies, the Red and Purple Links, began to defend him, but then remembered the events of the last night. They had thought the wolf was the evil one when they chased him away from Blue Link… but perhaps it was the other way around!

“Well, then, what do you have to say for yourself, huh? Even your friends have suspected you, now.”

Blue Link began giggling uncontrollably, which was very odd for the usually cool and collected member of the group. The giggling soon began maniacal, obnoxious laughter, and Blue Link’s eyes began to glow red. Then, all of a sudden, he exploded (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeUhZjcklQ4), splattering chunks of Link and blue clothing in all directions. Where he stood was a small ball of darkness, which expanded into a human shape.

As soon as his mouth was formed again, Shadow Link began emitting his signature high-pitched obnoxious laughter again. He began multiplying, until there were soon well over a dozen Shadow Links, all with their weapons raised and ready to fight.

The remaining 7 Links braced themselves for attack, and began hacking away.

The Original Link and the Link to the Past found themselves using their respective special weapons, the Boomerang and the Hookshot, to stun the numerous Shadow Links around them, making them easier to cut down. Conversely, Adult Ocarina of Time Link found his Megaton Hammer to be largely ineffective against the swift Shadow Links, finding his Master Sword to be more useful. His younger counterpart also began cutting a bloody swathe through the swarm of Shadow Links with his Razor Sword. The two remaining Four Swords Links found themselves quickly surrounded, and managed to fend them off using their signature Team Spin Attack. Twilight Princess Link promptly transformed into a wolf as soon as the battle began, finding his more feral form better suited to combating the mischievous Shadow Links.

But no matter how many of the Shadow Links they destroyed, the original kept multiplying and keeping the fight going. The real Links were beginning to tire. Young Link, surrounded by the dark creatures, tried a Spin Attack to fend them off, but heard a nasty crack when his blade connected. It had shattered to pieces. That must have been his 100th slash… in hindsight, he realized he probably should have invested in a little Gold Dust after all. Surrounded and with no weapon, he pulled out his emergency backup (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocqbkeweRCI):

As soon as the mask was placed on Young Link’s face, a blinding light forced the others to close their eyes. Consequently, it also destroyed most of the Shadow Links. When the light cleared, though, all gasped at the sight of what was previously Young Link.

He had become one with the Fierce Deity. Surrounded by an aura of energy, which was dark, and yet not malignant, he stepped up to the last remaining Shadow Link, the original. Shadow Link, tiny in comparison to the towering figure, let out a small squeak and began fleeing in the opposite direction. Swinging his blade, Fierce Deity Link let out waves of energy that sliced into Shadow Link. He then teleported himself in front of the crippled creature. With a single slash, he split Shadow Link in two, destroying him utterly.

But as quickly as it had begun, it ended. The remaining magic within the Fierce Deity’s Mask ran out, and Young Link returned to his normal form. The other Links stared at him in awe for a few seconds, and then began running to catch up when they realized he was heading for the Temple and not waiting for them.
