I've installed this mod properly and tried reinstalling several times but to no avail.
It just does not want me to play the campaign, the battles work fine though. It always crashes to desktop when I click begin campaign.
I installed this on a seperate file patched to 1.5 without expansions and updated the mod to 1.2. I don't know what makes it do this please help!:2thumbsup:

Your first sentence is contradictory to the rest of what you're saying. Please run a validation (post the results here) and verify that you have installed RTW and EB outside of Program Files.

Contradictorary to what I was saying?
I have installed a clean fresh version of Rome Total War using patches 1.3 and 1.5 to update it instead of installing Barbarian Invasion, made a copy of the file to My Documents and installed the mod and it's update correctly to that folder.

So please tell me how that isn't installed properly.

I also tried that validation program.
Doesn't work, just shows a blank notepad, even when IT IS NOT installed to program files but to a Rome Total War copy in My Documents. I'm using Windows Vista and my Java is up to date.

Really why couldn't a mod just be made that people can actually play without so much fuss, say like Rome Total Realism which may not reach the grand of this one but atleast people could play it by just installing it and it's done.

Wheres the files you need to remove located?

What I mean is, if you've installed it properly, it should work. It not working is contradictory to you having installed it correctly.

You may have installed RTW and EB in another protected location that Vista screws up. Please try this validation (ftp://europabarbarorum.org/validation/validation.zip), I've tweaked it to write the results directly on the C: drive instead of wherever EB is installed. It should be able to write there. You still need to unpack it in your RTW folder where you have EB installed.

Please do try to disable movies though. How is detailed in the validation post. Try the other solutions posted in the validation thread too, which you have no doubt read before posting.

Ok, more luck with this one,

You don't have an original installation; There are changes to files, or some are missing.
However, these may be conscious changes you have made, to remod EB. See below for details.

Okay, that seems fine. Where precisely have you installed RTW and EB? Did you try to disable movies? I see you're using the Trivial Script, which has an option to easily disable it.

(Note to self: Change the validation to actually report on where it is installed...)

Like I've already said,
it is installed in User accounts/Tom/Documents/My Games/Rome total war. Which is where I copied to original file installed to Program Files.

Of course I installed EB there in that file where the hell else do you think and have I not already said this twice.

(Note to self: Change the validation to actually report on where it is installed...)
Well what do you mean by that buddy, do you think I ran the report elsewhere???

Please do not talk too loudly about ignoring things you've said until you try to disable movies.

If disabling movies does not help, try to install somewhere directly on your C drive, like C:\Rome_EB.

What I meant was only that I should change the validation to report on precisely where it is installed, instead of having to ask. That is typically what a note to self means, it's a reminder for one self. I have been reminded, and it is done.

I ask to know the precise location because people tend to give false information around here. I think placing it in My documents may be part of the problem, but disabling movies is most likely to do the trick.

If neither of those work, go through the list of solutions in the validation post.

It says in the list clear for you to see that I've already tried and it hasn't worked.
nm-eb single player.lnk that's what you're supposed to do?

In any case that's as was instructed, installing it to C: Drive doesn't resolve the problem either, I'm not even going to bother trying any further with this mod and just delete it.

Playability should come first of all in a mod I would have thought.
