in my current campaign, it's 1160 and Lithuania already controls about 1/3 of the map. it seems like in most of my other campaigns, they're usually the first or second faction to get eliminated. has anyone else ever seen them become a major players in a campaign. if not Lithuania, any of the other smaller factions? i saw Armenia grow into a pretty large empire in one of my previous campaigns but nothing like this. they control pretty much everything East of Germany and North of Georgia.

xl is insane. superfactions happen so easily there. I've seen Armenia, Sweden, Denmark, Bohemia, Serbia all turn into huge empires. I think it's because of the increased farming money around.

I wouldn't say that a super-Lithuania is very common. Usually they get hemmed in very quickly by a combination of the Poles, Novgorod, Kiev, and the fairly poor quality of the rebel provinces in the area. Not impossible, as you've seen, but generally they are not the ones to become a hyper-power.
Wow... I've never seen Lithuania emerge as a superpower, mainly because the Christians all dogpile them in the first 30 years (even with the Lithuanian Duke's spectacular defensive skills).

same here. it seems like they're usually the first or second faction that gets eliminated when i play a campaign. i'm kinda torn on whether to try to finish the campaign because they've eliminated so many other factions already. i'm kinda curious to see what happens when the GH arrives though.
