Why is it that the best tech coverage is from The Onion? Consider the following five reports:
Google Opt-out Policy (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/google_opt_out_feature_lets_users)
Apple laptop news (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/apple_introduces_revolutionary)
FPS videogame news (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/hot_new_video_game_consistshttp://www.theonion.com/content/video/hot_new_video_game_consists)
Are videogames adequately preparing our children for the post-apocalyptic future? (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/are_violent_video_games)
And last but not least, a report on a Sony product that is so laden with profanity that it's NSFW, not safe for grandma, not safe for your parents and not safe for the dog:
Sony releases new stupid piece of **** that doesn't ******* work. (http://www.theonion.com/content/video/sony_releases_new_stupid_piece_of)
I'm as big a fan of Ars Technica (http://arstechnica.com/) and The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/) as anybody, so why is it that the satirists seem to nail the essence of the issues better than the straight journals? (Also, I wanted an excuse to post a bunch of funny videos.)
