grrr, why cant i log ono the server

any ideas on how to effectivly get to play online, i just keep seeing the logging on screen, and i want to know if there is anyway to fix the very first bug ive seen in shoggy

Well you are not the only one. It can take me 15 minutes or more trying to logon and it wont help just to wait..have to keep on clicking before it eventually work.

Oh and so far I have been disconnected from the server after each battle..have been lucky one time and actually logged on right after that..if not then I can spend some more time trying to logon ..sigh

i did it, i figured it out

CBR try this

cold boot your machine
when windows starts exit all unessesary background programs
run STW

it works all the time like this, just tested it

i told a small while lie there CBR

since my internet is connected via a hub, it means i can stay online while rebooting.

ive found that i STW is the very first thing i run, then it works, anything dont before then will mess it up

Used to get a similar problem back in July last year but that was because of EA problem.
Don't get any probs logging on now

There is a common error that many people have thats sounds very similar to this one.......try doing the following:

When you initially try to login ..... allow it to try for 3 seconds or so ..... then cancel it ......then immidiatly try to login again......this usually works.

I have to do this procedure every time I login.

What version of Shogun are you running?

Shogun Totalwar with Mongol Invasion pack or Shogun Totalwar Warlord Edition ?

Im running the original version of shogun, without any expansion.

But i can use it to log onto the mongol invasion server by changing the port setting in the internet.cfg file.But i cant join any games....


But both servers work fine.
