Far from the troubles of the Kingdom, the diplomats of Makedonia come to an agreement with a small group of scouts from the edge of the World. They are now employed to scout the Seleucid East.
However, back in the civilised world, the march of war continues.

The army, hastily prepared but well lead, is encamped outside the walls of Nikaia.
The citizens of Nikaia revolted two years previously, and withstood attack after attack, but finally fell to the enemy.
It is now time to liberate them from the Seleucid oppressor.

Meanwhile, our diplomats are travelling through the Italian Peninsula, heading to Megale Hellas in an attempt to reconcile with the former Italian territories of Epirus. On the way, they stop in Rome, recently recaptured from the Greek colonists.
A request for information regarding the extent of Roman conquests is turned down, the barbaroi are in no mood to fraternise with any Greek. Roman arrogance will cost them dearly in later years.

Yet, luck is not forthcoming with the Greeks of Italy either.
They refuse to make peace, and are still very bitter about the conquest of their homeland by the forces of Makedonia. At one point, they seized Thessaly and Attika, but were repulsed and lost.
