hi all.
i've read the guide on the hayasdan reform, but currently i've build what seems to be required in all the provinces (roads and all that) but still i cannot build a type 1 government, can anyone tell me the exact requirements ?

Check to see if you get a "Homeland" marker added to the end your cities' building lists. The new marker will not replace the one that is there when the game starts.

The pictures in the guide are misleading.

To get the Pan-Caucasus Reform you must build in Armavir:
- roads (as pictured)
- town garrison (as pictured)
- market (larger than the one pictured!)
- Armavir should be upgraded to large town (6000 population - governor palace larger than the one pictured!)

If all the above are built (and the script activated) the homeland resource should appear in Caucasian cities the next turn.

market needs to be larger than the one decipted in armavir only or in all the cities? could explain some issues i've had atleast

i believe you need to do it in armavir first, and then to refor mthe otherregions you will need the market

In my campaign I only had to build the market in Armavir to be able to build a Type I government. Then once you finish building a Type I government in Armavir you may build Type I and Type II governments in the other Caucasian provinces. I didn't realize this at first and was confused as to why I couldn't build new governments in the other provinces. Note that only 3 (I believe they are Armavir, Ani-Kamah, and Karkathiokerta) can have the Type I government, so when only the Type II shows up for the others, that's not a mistake it's just how it works.

Hi!
As far as I know you need sanitize (L1 health) to be build more.

Pan-Caucasus Empire Reform
Part1:
-Upgrade Armavir to a Large Town
-Build in Armavir a (market), (roads), (town_garrison)(L1 law), and (sanitize)(L1 health).
= (Homeland resource will appear in Armavir)

Part 2:
-Build a Type1 government in Armavir
= (Improved government resources will appear around the Caucasus region)

Part 3:
-Build Type3 or better governments in these cities (Armavir, Karkathiokerta, Ani-Kamah, Phraaspa, Kotais, Trapezous, Kabalaka, Mtskheta)
= (Subjugation resources will appear in Amaseia and Mazaka)

If its really confusing you then save the game. Cheat loads of money and process cq one building each turn and check what needs to change to trigger it. Then load up your save and continue as normal. Nothing wrong with understanding the game. Although it is all written down in the FAQ.

In the official Hayasdan Reform instructions you can download from europabarbarorum.com here:https://www.europabarbarorum.com/downloads_guides.html it doesn't say anything about Amaseia and Mazaka being part of the Pan-Caucasian empire reforms... Is it an outdated set of instructions?

You need to destroy the saptry goverment building 3 so you can build homeland goverment 1 in Armavir after you updated with the buildings required. Then build the new barracks to gain the new units.

Got a question on the Orantid reforms. Firstly when I had taken Susa and Persia, I built the "Conqueror comes" buildings in both of those cities, but the "Subjugation" icon did not apear. Then I realized I needed the three cities in Mesopotamia ( I already had Ectaban). So I took the three cities in Mesopotamia but the subjugation icon still did not apear in Susa and Persia. I destoryed the "conqueror comes" buidlings and build them again, but still no subjugation icon. I dont know what to do. Should I have just waited untill i took mesopotamia before I build the "conqueror comes" buidlings?

Im not quite sure on this. I know I took Seleucia before I took Persepolis and yet I could build the "conquerer comes" building in Seleucia. After I took Persepolis I couldn't anymore. Now I've lost Persepolis, hit a recurring CTD and moved back to my Seleucid campaign with hopes of actually finishing one. Shame, I was looking forward to recreating the Persian Empire.

I think we have to take persepolis the last. So take susa ectaban the 3 mesopotamian settlements and then persepolis. Or else the script wont work. :inquisitive: I dont know but from reading the refoms decription it says something like we have to arrive at persopolis after taking those settlments. If that is the case then I think my game is broke now.

I don't think you need to take them in a specific order… Did you build the "Royal Administration" building? My PDF guide I downloaded from the main site seems to say it's a prerequisite for "The conquerer comes…" At any rate, it's necessary for the expansion resource to pop up.

will that icon show up before the military occupation icon? In my game the conquerer comes icon just shows up for all the settlements.

Where can I read about this reform in history books, I am not really enlightened about the Hayasdan. I know the general histories, Tigranes II and the differences between the orontid and artaxiad dynasties, after a few facts more, it stops.

I would like to know which book or web page this reform came from, I would probably find it interesting to know more about.

Alright, in order for the subjugation buildings to appear, you need to have constructed all of these buildings:

Satrapy (Type3 government)
Royal Administration
The Conquerer Comes…

I don't think the order really matters, but they all need to be there. Royal Administration may require the Satrapy to be in place before you can construct it.

Here's an online version of the guide, maybe it'll help out some, if you haven't read it already. It's a bit more detailed than the version in the FAQ:

This reform never happened in history. It is a WHAT IF scenario. There are alot of books on Armenian history, also many useful sites as well.

Would I have to have all those build in Susa, persepolis, the three mesopotamian settlements, and ectaban, in order for the "subjugation" icon to apear in persepolis and susa?

Brave Brave Sir Robin

I believe you have to build them first in Susa and Persepolis before you can begin to reform the settlements to the east and west.

I did. Several times actualy. I build them saw that the subjugation icon did not apear so i destroyed the building then build them again with no success. I dont know its strange because i remeber playing with armenia a while back and had those reforms happen.

Okay, it sounds like you did everything correctly. Huh. Maybe there are already to many buildings in Susa and Persepolis for you to see them? As I recall, if you have too many buildings in one settlement, sometimes the icon won't show up on the building list. If that's the case, then you should be able to build the level two government anyway, regardless of whether you can actually see the subjugation building.

THat was the issue. After reading your advise, I went ahead destroyed the level three govt building build the military occupation icon and level 2 govt building was available even though the subjugation icon wasnt showing up.
