There's something fishy about Tuat. Surely the mob there put the one back in Rome to shame. However, it's not the angry populace that makes it fishy but I was able to build government I and II as in they were available options. I didn't build them fearing abnormalities. First time I took the city I wasn't able and clearly it says there "alliance available, only gov't III or IV." Sorry for the lack of screen shot. I took one (print screen) and came up my desktop. I hit F2 but came up as black. Oh I'm playing as Romani.

Edit - Upon researching I've found out that it is common. So ignore this. I guess I have just to wait til Marian before I eliminate Qarthadast. I'm not ready to share border with AS although I'm sure I can win Egypt easy but I can't afford to pay for more troops for now. Maybe build more mines in Spain.

Isn't Tuat that city you're not supposed to conquer?

Terhazza (-havva?), I thought.

Well, Tuat to a lesser degree too, as it is for Gawjam-Gotanoz (vanilla Latium province - the EB Latium is internally known as Latium2 due to the hardcodes associated with the vanilla Latium). It has the victory condition building, which you should not destroy.

Well Carthaginian presence there, near border, is quite high before I took it. I saw it as a source of threat lol.

I think I didn't. Well it's indestructible. I hope I didn't break anything. Did I?

Gawjam-Gotanoz is a Sweboz victory condition, if I'm not mistaken.

Wait, I conquered Tuat as Romans (It was under Carthaginian control and I wanted to erase them off the map). Is that bad?:sweatdrop:

Gawjam-Gotanoz? what exactly does this mean for anybody who wants to conquer/has conquered this Province? shure it's far off and Sweboz are not very keen on navy as it seems and it's utterly small yet It's Sweboz VC.

Yes, I asked about this a few months back and was told that the EB team couldn't fit all the "buildings" that you shouldn't see into Terhazza, so they put some in Tuat and Gawjam-Gotanoz. A by-product of this is that you can build a Region 1 government (and hence level-5 native barracks) there.

I tried this as the Romans when I conquered Tuat, and it all worked fine, although the level-5 barracks were pretty useless as I couldn't build anything there. I would recommend not demolishing anything there unless you're pretty sure about it!

Just ignore the fact you can build a Type1 in those settlements and build a Type2 at most. There is no benefit to building a Type1 there.

Also, just ignore the "Victory" buildings and don't tear them down. There shouldn't be any problem in owning Tuat even if there are victory buildings.

The whole issue with Gawjam-Gotanoz is a trick taking advantage of the AI's lack of naval invasions. Back in RTWv1.2, all you needed to do to win a campaign was have 50 settlements including Latium. Rather than risk letting the AI win the game, "Latium" was moved to somewhere the AI would never take.

now that's really smart, btw I presume that was one reason why you included gotland in the first place right?

Gotland was also important as the probably original homeland of the Goths, which was another reason behind the inclusion IIRC. If you mean to imply that the province is unneeded: I believe Gotland has already been removed from the EBII map.

a bit, as it is very small and has the same eleutheroi culture as scandinavia and is unlikely to play any role in a non sweboz campaign and even as sweboz it's not the place where the action is :/ so although it is important in historical terms it's rather unimportant in gameplay :(

oh still it is one of the few sweboz warharbors ^^

not that I would (have) insist(ed) on useing the extra province somewhere else. I just thought that It was probably one of those regions that were not shure to be included for some time.
