add traits to other country's agents

How do you add a trait to an agent ( general, princess, etc) of another country.
I opened cheat mode and use give_trait "character name" trait level
Works for simple 1 work names but not for multiple works names.
Also how do you transfer retinue from 1 general to another?

Special characters use basic characters and spaces use underscores.

To transfer ancillaries they first of all have to be transferrable. If they are, then have the two generals in the same stack and drag across.

With multiple names simply put the name between " ".
An example:
give_trait "Patrick Macdougall" GoodDiplomat 5
With names that include of,de,von you have to put _ next to them.
Example:
give_trait "John of_London" GoodTaxman 1

I tried adding trait to Princess Agnes Herman
Typed give_trait Agnes Herman PrettyWoman 3, gave trait to Agnes( different princess)
typed name as "Agnes Herman", Agnes_Herman, "agnesherman", "Agnes_Herman"
all to no avail, either character not found or gave trait to Agnes with one name

Also could not give trait to Prince Qutuz. Tried Qutuz, "Qutuz", Prince_Qutuz,"Prince Qutuz"
got character not found

can't use THIS for agent of another country. Trying to upgrade Princess to marry to my fraction heir.

Many of the starting characters (i.e. those you start with and their direct descendants) may display a lastname but not actually have it.

Have you tried giving trait to just Agnes?

A third faction has a princess with name only Agnes. Traits I try to give to Agnes Herman instead go to Agnes. Neither princess is in my faction.

See, what I always do in this situation is marry my Prince to the girl, and then give him the traits that marrying her would provide.
