Hi All,
I have an issue with a Romani homeland settlement. I can't build the Campus (which as far as I can see requires a type one government?, only type 3 here), if so building the 'Support through local militia' should allow me to recruit. I have done this and still have no options to recruit any military units.

What am I missing. My other settlements seem "ok"...but I'm sure i'm doing something wrong.

You cannot build barracks in Patavium, Bononia, Taras and Rhegion prior to the Polybian Reforms. Building a Campvs does not require anything other than a lvl.1 govt. prior to Marians.

Iirc in the gallic provinces you need at least a level three local MIC to recruit units. This has been made to avoid spamming of Gauls by AI-Romani.

Okay, I have the Polybian reforms. Right so a LVL 1 govt is needed, of course that is fine.

Is Arminum a gallic province? I have level 2 local MIC there and can't recruit, this is the city I refer to in my orginal post.

Ariminum is an Italic province, build a type I gov and factional MIC. There are no natives recruitable there.

Be sure to read the FAQ.

And take a look at the reruitment viewer that came along with your EB install.

Ah...thats cleared it up for me...I thought I had this Factional / Regional thing under control...but obviously not. Many thanks.
