How MTV-able they may be, I don't care. Muse is definitely the successor to alternative titans like U2 and Radiohead, if they've not been crowned yet.

Didn't know they had an album coming out, have to buy that.

They shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as Radiohead though, and are U2 alternative?

I'm going to see them in November, even though they're no longer my favourite band. I'm currently, uh, "obtaining" their album as we speak, and if it's as good as it should be, I'll purchase it. However, what I've heard sounds a bit conspiracy theory-ish, but I'm hoping that's only one song.

I'll settle for obscure indie rock and various underrated shoegaze bands. :2thumbsup:

Oh well, I can see them going right that direction. I, for one, can't say they're on the same higher ground yet it is just that they're not there yet.

Um, what does U2 do ?

Sounds like Billy Corgan singing, are the Smashing Pumpkins still together?

edit: A quick google confirms it is the Pumpkins.

U2 is just Christian Rock.:juggle2:

I suppose that makes them "alternative".
