Battle for Middle Earth 1: install get's to 66% then says:

[Prussian to the Iron]

that it cannot install maps.big or something like that. I've tried this like 3 times, restarted my computer, and every time it says that it cannot find or install maps.big, and then i click retry, and then it just says it again a couple minutes later.

anyone know how to fix this? I've had this game since 2004, so I don't think that they'll send me a new one.

Sounds like a damaged CD to me. Check the surface for any dust or scratches, maybe give it a careful clean.

Tried that. then I tried this other method, where you create a folder called "Disk Images", and then 4 folders in it, called "Disk1", "Disk2", etc. and extracted the contents of each disk to these folders. Tried it, and the same thing happened: on the third disc, it simply wouldnt go. I'm gonna try and contact customer support, maybe they'll send me the file or something. better would be another disc...
