Creative Assembly needs to remake RTW (Rome II Total War) with 60 units in each army. Currently there are only 20 units and that's not enough to simulate a frontline of a large battle.
It's simple: currently the user interface is divided into 3 sections: Minimap, then the 20 unit cards, then the symbols for unit actions.
There is enough space on the screen to have 60 units, from one side of the screen to the other, in two rows, occupying all the spaces currently used for the user interface.
Then one more little rectangle can be made above it, for minimap, and another rectangle can be made above it, for the unit actions.
In other words, 60 units in one army would merely result in some user interface space occupying more of the screen. It would make battles much more interesting, and people can always move the screen around to see more of the battlefield.

Then, we'll need at least 1 GB of VGA and 3 GB of RAM..... no problem for my desktop... but think of those who had older comp / Laptop

It could be nice if the game offers you the option of changing the amount of units you can command during the campaign. Just like the game gives the option of picking small, medium, large and huge units in the options panel. They could make the 20, 40, and 60 units commands that could be set before the Imperial campaign, that would come in handy.

We've always needed more as games evolve whether it's for unit size reason or realistic looking sandals.
Personally I've never been bothered by the limitations. Not to eager to see improvement in this department and not disappointed either. I just spam stacks and put some units on AI control. It's more realistic that way too.

Interesting idea.
Sixty might still actually be inadequate if we really went all out.
Say you have infantry units of 80 men, legionaries for example which was actually referred to as a "Century" in the later part of the Roman Army.
There were sixty centuries in each legion. Ah, but we are not done yet. Legions also had their auxillary archers and cavalry as well as artillery. We are probably talking eighty units to an army. The idea sounds great but few computers can carry that much RAM. I know that the laptop that I used to play Medieval II Total War didn't. When it took so long for cavalry to cross the battle map that I could take a nap, it was too slow.
In time, our computers will be stronger and faster and it would be interesting.
Meanwhile, I use between six and ten (understrength, About 100 instead of 480 men) "cohorts" as well as cavalry and archers.
I'd like to see that in a few years!

That's not correct. I manage to run the game fine with everything except grass in high level with a 1.5 GhZ proc, with 256 of RAM and 128 of video.

I agree, it would give more leeway in troop selection. I'm pretty uniform with general, heavy infantry, light and heavy cav, archers, and onagers filling out my armies, so I'm not always able to properly utilize the extensive AOR systems mods like EB and XGM have. 60 units per army would be good for me.
My laptop is able to run battles with 6,000+ men at a time without lag on huge settings, so it can handle it.
