I just think is funny that calling a liar a liar got two points and calling a :daisy: didn't get any
Maybe it was a special offer? Get two insults and pay for one.
There should be a topic where we just slag eachother off, then you dont have to post it in any other threads. It will be like the "the anger spot" where you rant and rave about anything, anyone and everyone.
On the plus side, with the stuff done in there, there shouldn't be any excuses for such behaviour in civil threads. :beam:

While I think an anger topic wouldn't be a good idea, I'm pretty sure a Tribesman vs Fragony one would provide quite some fun.

This is easily the best and probably only worthwhile post in this entire thread. I vote Siggy no less than 7 internets as his prize.

Hello Beskar,
There are some problems with that. A big problem is that bad blood will spill over to other fora and such topics attract new people from outside who just want to create trouble for others.
But, all that 'fear' aside, it's an illusion to think that such a topic can be left unmoderated. And it simply won't: not in any place or any time in cyber space or the real world. A few people will insist to be a bit 'better' than the rest and those words/lines will become a new taboe. That taboe will then have to be banned and punished (a few troublemakers will cry the loudest to ban that; perhaps because troublemakers will be the only people left). Then we will be at the same position where we are now, but at a different level.
We are not doing this for fun or to prove something. We want to offer people a nice time with each other here and we don't want a survival of the fittest.

At one point didn't he have something stupid like a few hundred thousand postcount...
Ohh and PI if you can't understand my post think of the issue being discussed and imagine tribesman was the player sent off (the fact i used a 'soccer' example probably didn't help either...
Lemurs disease is when you repeat things already said....
lastly I didn't really get the rest of the joke either... so don't worry...
I agree with Tosa really... the .org wouldn't be right with some type of warzone place... I think sometimes things are a little uptight and sometimes it would maybe be better if they could get it out of thier system... but the .org doesn't work like that... and its an awesome forum... so maybe the .org way is better...

Nevermind. Only Backroom Watchtower posts are counted. Not the regular WT.
And why no editing? To prevent people from modifying their arguments stated in their previous posts during heated debates on Backroom policy?

Neither did I mention the Backroom. Watchtower posts do NOT add to your post count. I have tested it long ago, and today as well. But this place, the Backroom Watchtower, does count your posts and adds them to the cumulative post count.

I cannot comment on whether my personality on the forum is similar to my RL personality because I still plan to go on a road trip with AP, Meth, AVSM, Subo, Miotas, AS and Lz3 across Europe and would like to surprise them with how I actually act in RL.
I love how people go "act in real life" as if they are really amazingly different people. :book2:

I'm much quieter. I say very little. You would be hard pressed to get me to talk if I felt uncomfortable.
Chances are I'd be watching everyone waiting...then I'd see something that reminds me of a memory of maybe a mafia game, or something I saw on tv and I would laugh.

says the man with 8k post in little under 4 years...
Hence the "I'm much quieter."
Not really. It is a completely different format. If a real life conversation/afternoon with friends was forum posting, we would be reaching around the 1000-a-day mark.
Also, if you check pevergreen stats, it is approx 8 posts a day. Very minimum if this was a subitution.
There is also the personality aspect, obviously people are always evolving and social role play a big part, but there are still the fundamentals. Him being "quiet" doesn't come as amazingly different. If pevergreen turned around saying he was a party animal with 10 ladies a night, then that would really be a misjudgement of personality.
Also again, there is "impression" and "judgement" factors. You generally invent characteristics for people or communication isn't taken the same way, then there is obviously social roles. Many people sometimes post with the mindset of "this doesn't matter so i can say anything and everything" while in real life, I doubt they would say it infront of their parents without recieving a backhanded slap.
