I'm having a problem with dead units remaining on the battlefield, which my units have a bad habit of trying to fight. :wall: Sometimes it is just a few of my units that stay behind, but others it is the whole unit. What could be the problem? Does anyone else ever have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've had this problem too. It seems to mostly happen when you've got huge piles of corpses. It's really bad when it happens inside cities, especially to your cavalry. I would love to hear a solution if anyone has one. My strategy so far has been to frantically double click the unit to go in every direction until it figures out away to get away from these 'ghosts'.

As far as I know, that - like the units dancing in front of the siegetower thing- is one of the remaining RTW bugs and can't be fixed by non-developers.
Like Epimetheus said: repeatedly stopping the unit and giving move orders works usually.

I think it's not a bug: that's implemented in EB for historical accuracy:

(today we call that kind of behavior: shell shock)

Well, that "bug" was actually rarely occurs, but when it occurs, a unit or two can become stucked..... a really good excuse for historical reality, but in fact, you can break this bug by sending your elephants to run accros the stucked units....:laugh4:

Ok. Thanks all for your input. Guess I'll just have to put up with it and continue frantically double clicking and saying not-too-nice-things to my computer. :clown:

Yeah it's a 1.5 bug, not an EB bug.

IE-Impossible to fix without cracking the code.
