So I was assaulting the Ptolemies' capital city as Pontus the other day, and my first batch of glaring EB bugs ever (aside from post-battle CTDs and a peasant icon for a ship) hit me in the face with full force:
Skybox-thingies on the ground; sometimes units can walk through them, sometimes not (IIRC)
Problems getting troops through the siege towers; had to play a sort of stop-dance mini-game
Units submerging into the ground in front of a gate, though their shadows disconnect and float
And maybe other things I forgot; I can't remember correctly if it was in Alexandria that I my soldiers began dancing off (a lame step-pause-step-pause sort of dance) to some direction instead of fighting when I ordered them to attack an enemy unit. A quick search of this forum showed that at least one other person experienced two of those problems, and a chat with someone familiar with EB told me that Alexandria is buggy as hell.
So, I figured "hey maybe there's some way to fix this" and then I thought of maybe changing the egyptian files in the settlement_plans folder; since I'm no mapper, I thought I could just replace everything with eastern_greek, or barbarian if I was feeling a bit whimsical.
My question now is: will that work? If yes, what other files would I need to change? If not, how do I fix it?
