Hey I've been gone for a long time so please no kill me. I'm just wondering when we can get a preview of the new map. I'm really exited to Anatolia, Greece, and Sicily. So just wondering if we could have a time maybe when the map preview might come or if.

I heard that they finished the new map, or at least the province set up so a preview including that would be great as well! :idea2:
Yes I do agree with u all. A map preview would do wonders really. Show us the map.... pls:embarassed:

Well this would also stop people from talking about how the team should make the map and how the provinces look, instead of us blindly guessing. Oh and sorry if anyone thought this might be the real map preview.

I'm too looking forward to see the maps, especially the reworked Scythia.
Hope it will be included in next preview:2thumbsup:

It might reveal what the new factions are though, which they are keeping under wraps (apart from the ones already revealed) for now.

I've been trying to play other TW games, waiting for EB2... while E:TW doesn't disappoint much (it's just pretty easy, and not too detailed), I've tried installing M2 with the SS mod... while the mod is great, it all just looks so lame compared to EB, the map especially so (not to mention the interface). There you have it... I saw someone post that EB is the saviour of TW games, - I say it's the killer, 'cause you can't play anything else after it. Looking forward to any scraps of info. If it isn't released this year, at least do a grand Christmas preview or something...

You can make a map with no colours.

A wee bit OT, but on tangent to the subject; can the minimap be modified?
I hate, hate, HATE the one in vanilla, with all that... GREY. If there is a colour I do not like; it's most certainly the utterly, definitely soul-crushingly boring grey and the vanilla minimap of M2:TW is really damn fugly.
Thus the question, is it possible that EBII could have a more aesthetic minimap? It's certainly possible in R:TW.
Don't worry, General, if you play as an eastern faction and the AI is anything like the one in R:TW, you'll have a bright yellow map!

Bright yellow-bright white lines-darkish grey = :skull:
It's not just the grey, it's the whole spectrum of colours and the execution of the minimap in M2:TW.

You can make a map with no colours.
Still, areas that are particularly dense, province wise will hint at the inclusion of new factions.
Besides, you already have some pictures.

Feeling like a foo' now for forgetting that/not researching properly, but nonetheless, many thanks to you, Subotan.

This is my fear too, however, the map preview could just show all the settlements as rebel.

If we show some areas with new provinces, you may infer that those areas are going to be the home of a new faction. :beam:

I don't see how that is bad in any way.

Maybe just blur the map or crop the pictures in a way that they show only pretty landscapes from the actual game map. There are enough ways to hide the 'unwanted' information from pictures. And at least I want to just look at pretty pretty pictures of pretty landscapes :)

What if you didn't show any province boundary lines or settlements? We'd just see the landscape.
