I wish to recreate a gigantic invasion by barbarians...

Is it possible to use the console to spawn full stacks of enemy soldiers? Or can I somehow use the script to do this?

yes, both cases are possible but don't ask me how :book:
I would suggest that the easyer way is to get a babarian fm, and add_unit.... via console. you should gift them money too, cause otherwise the upkeep of his army will ruin the faction.
scripting is more difficult and I don't have a clue on it. :juggle2:

do a forum search on something like add_unit or create_unit. this allows you to boost the enemy's fm-forces rather quickly.

thanks...

What I plan to do is give the Sauromates 4 full stacks of cavalry (4x20) and maybe 10 full stacks of infantry (10x20).

Although is it easier to use the console to actually take control of the Sauromate myself, train/build/recruit merc and use the console to give myself units...then go back to my original faction?

VS

Just use my original faction and spawn units for the Sauromates?

My question is: Even if you create the units, how can you be sure the AI will do anything with them (as in move across the Steppes into better land?

I'm thinking of either declaring war on them and spawning their soldiers very close to my borders, or editing some files to make their "target" my capital.... ? =/

any other suggestions? :dizzy2:

Wouldn't they normally attack with overwhelming military power at their command? The money script will give them upkeep money, so I'm sure they'll use those effectively. Unless they send them off in the opposite direction and steamroll, say, Baktria :inquisitive:

Out of curiosity, could someone post the correct input (or at least the link to it) for spawning an enemy stack (together with all details like coordinates, FMs and others I may not know about)? I may just start another EB campaign if this can make things interesting. Can something like this be done from the console, or do you need to write a script or something?

EDIT: actually, since this is related, I might as well post the question here.
If I wanted to add, say, twenty stacks to almost all the factions in the game (to create a "blood for the blood god" game mode ), it would be easier to do this in the descr_strat before starting the campaign, wouldn't it? I'd still like to know how to add them during the campaign, though.

Hmmm, I suppose allying the faction with its neighbors and making your faction the sole enemy encourages it to attack you first?
