Sounds like CA are working on patch 1.5 for Empire Total War, see the blog post:

Good to hear that they're still committed to improving the game.

They already said that goes after Warpath is out...

It is just a way of letting a wider player base know that it is coming...an in game commercial, sort of...

I didn't even see that - I usually escape out of all the videos when I play.

Yeah, i'm not keen on that. For some reason i think website ads are one thing, whereas the main menu of a piece of software I've bought is my property...

Don't forget you buy the right to use the software, it's not your property... ~;)

No, it's just annoying hearing Native American music (from M2TW) while I'm trying to start a game as France. :P

Gawd, will they finally make sure the AI doesn't attack your full stack with 4 units EVERY SINGLE TURN? Attacking a fortified city with a garrison of 2 LI and 2 militia with 2 bowmen and 5 cavalry is perhaps not the smartest idea - you'd think they'd have figured out that after the first, oh, dozen times. To boot, the battle calc doesn't seem to know there are walls, and so you lose the autocalc badly. Such a waste of time, I can only play a few years at a stretch since I get so frustrated by the repetitive, useless battles.

Hello smart AI, where art thou? Extra 2k/turn does not = smart AI.
