View Full Version : Conquest--History Channel
If you get a chance-watch Conquest on History Channel. All sorts of medieval weapons and their strenghts and weaknesses...
Good show.

I caught the tail end of the show and was sad I had missed it. Then I remembered that the history channel can't create a new program without running it into the ground by showing every episode 5,000 times. So I imagine I'll get a second chance.

Yeah, I managed to catch most of it. Interesting, especially the segment on billhooks.

Makes a nice change for them to put on a program that isn't about WW2 for a change. That and ancient egypt, with loads of mummies and tombs. History is a big subject that they somehow manage to ignore most of. More medieval proggies pls.

It's one of my favorite channels too, but I missed that program. They certainly overdo the Egyptians and WW2 stuff.
Hopefully I'll catch the crusades program another night.

Everytime I turn on the "Hilter" Channel it seem it's always WWII, or the guy from "Full Metal Jacket" screaming at me during his show.
Last night I actually saw a show about Masada, which was pretty interesting and a few weeks ago one about Sparticus's rebellion, but I think that's the only non WWII or R. Lee. Erny programming they had on in a month.

Whats wrong with ol' Gunney? I like his show. Sure, he does the drill instuctor bit, but he has a sense of humor about it. And the history channel has plenty of stuff about cars and um.... uh... Thomas Edison... and uh... Good stuff, that history channel.

This Friday, UK History Channel; Lost Civilizations is doing a documentary on the Lives of Vikings in the British Isles. Considering the add-on it'll probably be a good viewing.
