View Full Version : Crash/game wont start up

Every time I click on the EB single player shortcut it goes to the beginning screen it stays there for a few seconds then goes black then crashes. I added show_err and am using XP and installed it outside program files. I also patched RTW to 1.5. Any suggestions?

If you use the trivial script, try to disable the movies, otherwise add -nm to your EB-singleplayer shortcut.

The fixes for v1.2 are in your installation?

If it does not work with the no-movies-command, please run a validation and post the result.

I installed the patch 1.2 but it still wont start up. I added show_err -nm -ne. What is a validation exactly?

inside your RTW folder there is a file called "validateInstall.bat", run that and post the result here.

I do have java and when i press the key to continue until it's done, the results pull up a blank text file.

Check this for your validation:

_ The validation turns up with a blank Notepad document on Vista? Try to get this(ftp://europabarbarorum.org/Validation/validation.zip) altered validation which stores the results directly on the C: disk, where it should be allowed by Vista. You need to unpack it in the RTW folder where you installed EB.

no vanilla doesn't work. I think i will give up I did the validate program and I keep pressing a key and it gives me a blank file.

If Vanilla doesn't work, it has nothing to do with EB.

Install RTW from scrap, and then EB.
