View Full Version : Uninstalling EB? (don't kill me before reading the thread)

When I first installed EB I, stupidly enough, didn't make a backup copy of RTW. Thus, I don't have a clean vanilla RTW folder. Since I want to try some other mods, I'm thinking of copying my RTW, with EB installed, and unistall EB from that copy. Problem is, I remember reading somewhere that the EB uninstall option doesn't work properly. Is that true? If so, is there another way to do it?

I am pretty sure that EB is totally self contained in it's own folder. Just delete the entire "EB" folder, and that should be the equivalent of uninstalling it.

Well, there are a lot of EB- related icons in the main Rome - Total War folder.

Are you sure there aren't any in any other folder?

Oh, and what about EB- mini mods? Is there a risk that they are installed somewhere else?

EB mini-mods are all installed into the EB folder. How it works is, running EB doesn't even touch anything in the old RTW game, it just uses the RTW executable to open the files in it's own folder. Thus, a stand-alone mod.
You should uninstall it using the EB uninstaller, and take a look afterwards to check that the folder is definitely gone. Uninstaller should delete those EB-icons, and even if there are some left, they wouldn't affect a different mod.
Moving thread to the technical help forum.

I manually deleted the EB folder as well as those icons (didn't see your last reply), and it seems to work . Thanks for the help. :)
