1)Does putting your cities on a VH tax rate give better traits than a H tax rate?
2)Governors in a M or less tax rate city are likely to get bad traits, correct?
3)Is the tax rate the biggest contributor to traits? Does how much income your faction have effect their traits? I remember that in the vanilla, having a lot of money would be a big downside to traits.
4)Is it ok to have your general/governor in the feild for a long time, or will he likely pick up bad traits, or is it nuetral?
I'm mainly trying to figure out what has the biggest impact, negative and positive, on traits in EB. Any help/info you can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Apple.

1-3) I don't know, I'm not sure which (if any) effect tax rate has on traits. I keep taxes as high as I can and get both good and bad governors out of it.
I think like in vanilla having lots of money has some negative effects on traits. If I remember correctly this starts when your treasury is over 50000 and gets worse with 100000, 150000 and so on.
4) Depends a lot on his other traits, especially the 6 basic traits. A Sharp/Charismatic/Vigorous guy may get less negative effects or recover faster from them than a Dull/Uncharismatic/Languorous guy.
A general who fights a lot may become a "Warmongerer", and then become a "Restless Warmongerer" or a "Satisfied Warmongerer".
Then there may be negative effects from exterminating cities if he is selfless or a temporal negative effect from marching without rest.

Exterminating cities will give you restless sleeper (-1 management and -1 hitpoints), it wont get any worse than that....

Tax rates have a direct effect on the governor of a city.
Try placing a governor in a city and keep the taxes on low for years. He will develop into a "nice" person.. literally. you will begin seeing traits like "lenient" "humanitarian" "benevolent governor" "inefficient tax collector". There are benefits to it, but it will prevent the character from raising taxes efficiently down the line. Same is true for very high taxes... that just a sampling.

If it is good for a governor to have higher or lower taxes depends on his (un)selfishness.
4. Depends on other traits. General may get negative as well as positive traits. I believe the Desert warrior trait comes from staying outside the city and it is a very good trait.

I had a theory that high on building something was a good stratagy particularily roads, markets, ports etc as you aquiured good trader etc, and likewise good administrator/tax collector etc (especially whilst in the blue). However with EB I am not certain this happens as govenors traits seem pretty much mixed up. Inept administrator comes to mind with the above is one example which shouldnt happen, equally I have had both the attuned goveneor, ie likes the city life, and the opposite who is supposedly out in the field and wishes to return to the city at the same time.
It may wel be pot luck

So far I've seen that high is the default tax rate that you should set or your governors will be pretty bad. But I can't seem to find out if very high will make them bad. So what kind of "bad" traits will very high give you or should it be on very high if you are able to?
