Since you understood, I'm revealing some info. There are cops in the game, yet thou shall have to read well in order to understand the role and remember something. This may cause confusion but in fact it is an idiot thing.
The Visitor will get help, but the one who help does not know who the Visitor is or viceversa.
Some interesting features from other games could apply here.
It's night phase, and everyone who has something to demand start to PM me.

A massive funeral is being arranged today as the death of Centurion1 hits very hard in the morale of Conservative Land. The Police Departament is doing this Funeral and the Major Caius Flaminius will give him a medal of Honour for his Duty as a Policeman.
Confusion arose more when the newspaper "The Watcher" appeared with the followin articles:

I would just completely randomly guess that there's one good journalist and one bad journalist.
I do not trust the watcher, as a result of that guess. However; the mafia know who are innocent (everyone besides them) so it is not hard to fake an innocent result.

Hey fellas.
With only 3 or so hours to go, we have almost no chance to lynching a mafia with the current vote tally as such.
There's usually at least 2 mafia, and right now maximum votes are 2 on a candidate. It's rather easy for the mafia to put 3 votes on someone and save their hides.
Think smart, vote smart...
1. Sprig is acting normal, from what I know of him. I don't think it's him.
2. The vote on AVSM by AVSM is not very helpful and it is WIFOM. Remember that if you vote for him he can easily change his vote, so it is effectively zero real votes for AVSM.
3. I don't trust the journalist who couldn't give a clear result on CDF. I don't see how there would be two detectives who can give anonymous results in a game this small. If anything, CDF warrants further scrutiny, perhaps an investigation, but not a lynch.
4. Scottishranger is as good a candidate as any. :shrug:
5. Double A is as good a candidate as any.

If nothing happened, we can assume the killer was roleblocked, the killer was inactive, or the killer was busy recruiting perhaps a new partner.
Let's narrow it down. If someone did a roleblock, repeat that action tonight to be sure. If no murders tonight again, reveal.

Also noteworthy: I believe it was revealed earlier when we got all sorts of different role pms, there is more than one police officer. Assuming they investigate, there are many investigatory roles. Obviously some will be less accurate than others. And the journalists as well...

I just woke up, had breakfast and find 3 votes on me.
Well.. detective is me, and I completely forgot to send in my orders. Was 1 hour late. Yesterday I was playing Civ4 against Beskar so thats why I was too quiet.
I first had a mafia pm, and then I was changed to a cop.
I claimed to know a detective in night 1 to trap someone. Seeing as its only night 1, and if he knows Sprig is guilty, then he can't possibly know that I am innocent. Thus if the mafia is experienced he will know that I am the detective and kill me. But they didn't so, mafias are somewhat unexperienced. Fact that theres no kills tonight supports that thesis. Yea I forgot to send in orders as well but still...
If I'm no detective, then I wouldn't pick on new comers this early in the game. I searched Sprig night 1, because we don't know his playing style.
I woke up just then so half the things I posted wouldn't make sense.
Basically, I'm the detective, Sprig is guilty and Medic save me tonight.
If I get lynched.. thats fine too. As long as I take one mafia with me.

I think that ATPG might be correct, and all the journalist are possibly to be trusted, because they simply are just all cops with different results.
Also noteworthy: I believe it was revealed earlier when we got all sorts of different role pms, there is more than one police officer. Assuming they investigate, there are many investigatory roles. Obviously some will be less accurate than others. And the journalists as well...
I am wondering if this isn't more of a dethy mafia type game, with a lot of extra roles?
Beefy, what other results did you get? Perhaps a point of comparison?

Its not that I think that either Beefy or Sprig is guilty, I just think that Beefy possibly has the wrong results, as a result of something not stated in his role.
I assure you i am not guilty, That fact that he forgot to scan anyone last night is a bit dodgy to say the least.
However there is a chance that he is telling the truth and truly did scan me. But with no second scan result he cannot know if he is a fake detective or not. Too much of a coincidence for my liking.
However, I am torn between letting him have another chance to scan someone and putting him to the gallows. Perhaps others have another option or different take on things?

There is a disadvatage to lynching me over Beefy, My death will confirm my innocence and will result in sending my accuser to follow me soon after.
This is also why I am hesitant about accusing Beefy, if we lynch him, it will only prove the he is or isn't mafia. Not lynching him gives him a chance to scan another person (if he is not lying about being a detective) and also you can bet your bottom dollar that he will be scanned tonight as well.

Also recall that we had role PMs peeked at and I know there are detectives besides them as well.
This fits into my theory of lots and lots of detectives. This is basically a Dethy mafia with extra players (journalists claiming detective) and detectives that require partners.
Way to go :( lets lynch Sprig over a fake detective. You guys are treating me real nice in my first game :p

I was "the watcher".
The journalist who said White Eyes was innocent and that CDF was untrustworthy.
I had no investigative powers whatsoever.
Without having such powers, the ability to communicate anonymously with everyone was useless. So I sat and thought to myself... what would be a productive use of this skill? The best thing I could do is bluff. That's all I had the ability to do. So I thought back to the Fillet Royale where there was "The Watcher" and I ripped off that idea. I disguised my writing style, removing all capitalization, and adding unnecessary ellipses, and did strange breaks in my thoughts to give it an odd layout.
What can you say when you know you're innocent, but you have to lie anonymously? Simply stating "Askthepizzaguy is innocent" would likely get me nightkilled. So instead of "proving" my own innocence I focused on discrediting others.
I chose a name fairly randomly. Cultured Drizzt Fan.... but I didn't say he was guilty, I said he was untrustworthy... like I didn't trust my own detective results or something. This accomplishes the following:
1. It effectively neutralizes Cultured Drizzt Fan as being able to effectively lead the town anywhere.
2. It also made it such that if CDF were indeed innocent, he probably wouldn't be nightkilled, because there was a ton of suspicion on him.
3. Paralyzing CDF means there are fewer people I have to argue with if I want people to vote the way I choose. Fewer leaders means if I'm alive, I am more likely to be one of them.
I followed up on this because I didn't want CDF to die right away, I just wanted to knock him out, so to speak. So I denied everything I said anonymously, publicly, as myself. White Eyes claimed to be the other journalist, and I reasoned that if he was doing journalist entries, and I was innocent, he might be guilty. It's strange to have two of us, both useless. So I suspected him, but I didn't want to tip my hand. I wanted to see what he would do.
He had "cleared" me publicly, which had the positive effect of making me not a likely lynch candidate but the negative effect of making me a likely night kill. I wasn't that happy, but I dealt with it; it wasn't his fault and it was better than what I did to CDF.
The next day I suggested White_Eyes was innocent, to return the favor in a sense, but if the mafia didn't end up killing him as a cleared innocent, then it would be suspicious to me. It turns out, I was actually investigated on round one (or so he claimed) by a detective, Sprig. He told me such because he thought the journalist entry was just reporting his results (or so he claimed) so he figured I was innocent and therefore safe to reveal to me. But Caius hadn't actually sent him his results yet. So I figured he made an honest mistake, and I had a detective contact and a journalist contact. We were on our way.
Then things got into a pickle when Beefy accused Sprig. That meant that either Sprig was mafia or Beefy was mafia or Beefy was an inaccurate detective. As such, 2 of the 3 options meant that Sprig was good, and I sided with Sprig. But I got awfully suspicious of Sprig and I was planning on voting for him if Beefy died and turned up innocent. Either way, it is a suspect down and Sprig could share his results before he died.
Didn't get to figure out much of what was actually going on, but I had a role PM that never got used from the host screw-ups, which suggested that two people working together were innocent and were a detective. So I was on the look out for that. Strange that there would be so many claiming detective after that... I wonder what the game setup really was.
