That is it for the Romans, feel free to correct the dubious ones as this is compiled only with the help of Pützger’s Historischer Weltatlas, Wiki, Google and E. Christiansen. It is thus very rough, but intended to be a guide with no real detail added (you asked for it). Elaborate and correct as you wish.

Others must track other powers, though I might be able to do a Sweboz as well. That must wait.

Edited to add, notice the military Dynasts' at various points. They are very evident...

Hmmmm.... this looked better in Word, oh well...

Prosit as we say or well done. I really was doing a small research but as others know it is v difficult to have a good source. Can you give us links from where you found these dates please. Maybe we could list all the cities and next to them the date it was taken/conquered and even further next to them the 'best' Type of Government we should take. Any more ideas are welcomed as if we build on this we can use this one as a sticky!! Welldone again!

Etienne

I am myself doing a Romanii campaign and I am in 210bc and taking mastia and soon gader and was really finding it difficult to fine when certain cities where taken. This wil help a lot of people and if people have good and easy sources, link, whatever where we can look into we can make it even better for roleplaying.

Well, I first listed them by province (searching on Wiki and Google on city name, if no result province or nearest modern city- and looked in my historical atlas or EC), but was always going to change it to chronologically, so the other does not exist any more. As for the sources, they are as listed at the bottom, and not very good sources, so I cannot 100 % guarantee it is correct (for once). Further, EB's system is in no way complicated enough to mirror the real historical development, so I am afraid what you ask is not possible. At least it would take 100+ hours to make. Just this fast and superficial one took 12- 15 hours, possibly even more.

It is not the absolute truth and if anyone wishes to elaborate or even correct they should feel free to do so. However, it will serve as a rough chronological guide. Some of the Victory requirements were only fulfilled outside EB's timeframe as well, so... use it as a rough guide, nothing more.

Thanks for the balloon.

Nice job mate! Never knew they even conquered Phraaspa!

Edit: I just read the wiki. Also do you have any info on the Roman activity in the Crimea (Bosphorus)?

Thanks FC, but nope that would require me to get some specialist books from the Uni library and a lot of research, this is intended as a sketch, a foundation to build on and a guide for playing.

I know that Regnum Bospori was a Client Kingdom at the time of Trajan, but little more. AP might, he is a Russian and loves Rome...

Rhodos 201 BC forwards slowly got closer and closer to Rome,

So that means I ned to take Rhodos that early?

No it was never taken as such, but in 201 BC asked for Roman aid against a Macedonia on the rampage against the KH- leading to Battle of Cynoscephalae. In contrast to the others, Rhodos slowly slid closer and closer to Rome and wisely did not join the others rebelling. Both Caivs Ivlivs and Marcvs Tvllio studied there.

I dunno when to take it, perhaps a generation before the sack. As should be evident from the timeline, much of the historical development is impossible to mirror in a computer game, even as good one as EB.

Edited to add,
Rhodos 201 BC forwards slowly got closer and closer to Rome,
allied to the Second Triumvirate and sacked by Cassius in 43 BC,
full province in 73 AD according to my historical atlas.
that full province 73 can mean that you take it there or between 100 and 90 BC, which is also its place in the timeline, then change Lvl IV to Lvl II in 73 BC...
