Hi,
I was wondering if anyone know some good links to pages about the Thirty Years War?
Something(or someone) cleared all my Firefox Bookmarks including links to information about that time period.
I need this for a Gameroom game I created.
Although I have almost everything ready there are still some small things that need some tweaks.
I'm looking especially information about the navies(and ship types) in 17th Century and maps of religions in Europe. However, all info about 17th century(and especially the Thirty Years War) is welcomed!

I very highly recommend this book (http://www.amazon.com/Thirty-Years-Review-Books-Classics/dp/1590171462). It's an excellent overview of the war, the causes, the participants, and all significant events.

Most of the information I found was from Google and Wiki. However, Wiki does not have all the answers and Google can be quite unreliable(or I just don't know how to use it?).
Tincow, that book sounds interesting. Read some pages(that were available) and found it easy to follow and understand(for a non-English speaker). Do they have it in Estonian as well? :beam:
Centurion1, the game would be "simplified Europa Universalis on a hex based map in a forum format using crappy TW AI(that's me)". That's the best way I can describe it.

well that sounds fun to me :2thumbsup:
isnt google just a search engine? So you may not be able to find things but it should give you alot of resources to choose from. Personally i think the best choice is always a book though.

That definitely sounds interesting, if you could send me a message when you start it?
Also, to contribute this (http://www.allempires.net/the-30-years-war_topic21459.html) forum might be useful.

Google is just a search engine indeed but I meant that it mostly gives links to pages with general information I already know.

That link was interesting. Thanks!
And I'm about to start this when 391 years and 5 months pass from the Second Defenestration of Prague(btw that's tomorrow).
