Or maybe this question could go for regular EB too.
Does the AI expand VERY slowly or by a certain year start to attack? Or should they be using every army right at the start of the game, attacking and plundering?
I've been playing Extended Alex for a couple days now and I notice huge AI stacks that don't move much and don't attack either. I was wondering if they start to attack more on a certain year (historically) or if they only attack once you attack them? Basically, what should the AI be up to at the start of the game?
I'm seeing the year descripts so I'm pretty sure the script is working. But perhaps the "whole" script isn't working properly?
Thanks,
Apple.

I once tried to play with Extended ALX, mainly because you can train many elites right from the beginning, but went back to "normal" EB on ALX because I consider it too slow.
About the inactivity of the AI: What is you campain difficulty?
I'd ask the creator, but he doesn't like to speak to "peons" like me, :(.
R U serious?

Very hard for campaign difficulty. Is it a feature that they expand so slow? I don't think the AI has taken one city, but its only been several years.
As to the "Peon" comment. I was more making an inside choke about how helpful I found him to be. I'll edit it out, it's too confusing even for me.

I was more suprised, that the creator of a submod is unwilling to help users of his mod. I think the ALEX mod was a bunch of work and normally a creator's intention is that her or his mod is played...

That thread is over 60 pages long. I started to look through many of them and found that similar problems/questions came up. The creator should edit first post based on questions, then there wouldn't be so many in the future. Many had some problems with installing or figuring out the exact steps. More "exact" details on first post would prevent many questions.
But for me, I'm done with that mod. He modded it so that the rebel towns are too strong. About two elite armies for each rebel town that just sit there. Many other AI factions also have huge armies that don't move. I think that the main problem is that the other AI factions can't expand because the rebel towns are too strong. I think they also retrain after attacked so I don't see how any AI factions will be able to expand much. After about 50 years (200 turns), there was only a tiny expantion by a couple AI factions.
Only fighting rebels towns is too boring for me. I was Rome on VH/M. Gaul and Carthage never attacked me once. In fact, no one did. Not even a rebel stack.
There is some to like about that mod, but that "some" will probably be similar in a mini mod pack. So that's what I'll try now.
It was my first time playing with alex.exe though. Not one CTD. Very nice.
