Deos anyone know how to unlock an individual minor faction without using a mod? I especially want to play as the mughal empire as they seem to be nearly completed by the CA but dumped just in the last minute:furious3:. At least are there any specific mods for unlocking the mughal empire completly (removing the fog of war etc.)

Over at the TWC they have some how to guides on unlocking factions but that is a mod...as you are modifying the files.

You may have to dig to find them.


As to mods that do it for you, I don’t know how current they are or if they work with 1.5.

Without a mod it is impossible. For mods look at TWcenter ==> the mod section.

Let me tell you it's not fun unlocking a faction yourself when it's already done (I'm not going to go in to what you have to do to get the LOS working without scripts:no:).

Well I was thinking of directing him to you and I would gladly send him to our mod forum if anything were happening there.

It would not be bad if we had our own how to guides and so on but some one need to write them first...

But that might give them reason to show up...

Some quick reference data on doing it your self or a small self loading mod that does it for you would be great and would generate some interest, wouldn’t you think?

One thing I hate to do is go to a mod forum and suggest that someone else should do such and such mod....:laugh4:

Well thanks a lot guys that was really helpfull, i am using the mod reight now but it would have been great to learn how to mod it myself. i havent done any modding before but u can never learn if u never try isnt it?

You are using a mod but you can learn how to do it your self.

I am sure that if you go to our mod forum that pevergreen or Mailman653 can tell you which files to change and take you through it. Then it will be there for everyone to see.
