In the grand campaign, I'm well aware of the fact the Mongolians attack in waves consisting of about 4 generals a piece. I'm curious to know how many waves are there, and what the unit composition of each wave looks like (i.e. - the second wave brings along rocket launchers and trebuchets).
Additionally, do the waves stop coming the moment the Mongolians find a new homeland? I'm referring to the "new homeland" event that appears when the Mongolians conquer a province.

The Mongols appear in three waves with a total of around 10 stacks. They may arrive north or south of the Caspian Sea; near Baghdad; and near Yerevan. The Timurids appear in similar places. The second and third Mongol waves sometimes appear in the same place as the first, but at least one report indicates this is not always the case. There are conflicting reports on whether later waves are stronger or weaker than earlier ones (they do tend to have some rockets)
For more information on the Mongols, check out section 4.3 here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=72109). You can find it here in the Citadel.

There are three waves. Each wave of Mongols can have three to five stacks. A stack usually consists of a general, some heavy cavalry, some heavy horse archers, some light cavalry, some light HA's and some infantry (archers). These waves continue to arrive regardless if they settled or not.
It is easy to defeat one stack but the Mongols usually attack in pairs or even with three stacks.
There are lots of threats who explain how to defeat them.
Have fun :2thumbsup:
