I've been looking for this info online and in a few libraries, but haven't found anything. It is said that Hanno got his nickname, becouse he conquered a large part of Africa for Carthage. But i can't find info about which areas did he conquered. I understand that the borders of the Carthaginian empire are difficult to portray, hence i have no idea if he conquered some land that's 100 km from Carthage, or did he launch an expediotion to Marroco and the cities there (lixus).

So if anyone has any info, please share:book:

THE Hanno the Great. The only one of the three that matches my description why he got the nickname:inquisitive:

"[...] in 247, Hanno led an army to the city of Theveste, which he captured."

Theveste is modern day Tébessa in Algeria, some 20km from the Tunisian border. It is 250km from Carthage.

Interesting... I always thought Carthage had complete control of cities so nearby. When i read about Hanno i thought he had been a much greater conqueror. I gues it's impossible to roleplay his achievements with Carthage in EB
